This won't be a cross-posting of my journal on dA as the musings of an errant artist are likely to not have the same import here. Though this posting will touch on some of the same ideas, I suppose.
Anyway. This year's NATG has come to a close. I'm really glad to have been able to be a part of it and I'm sad to see it go. There were a lot of interesting people involved in the event, contributors and staff, that I'm glad to have at least been able to nod at in passing. But, 'in passing' would be the key phrase there. I'm under no delusions that, all too quickly, I'll just be another wispy form in the crowd. Such is the nature of shadows.
But, before I digress into topics that interest no one, let's take a look at where my writing stands. (But I thought you just said you wouldn't digress?)
Ahem.
Yes, writing. I still have to get some assistance with polishing up Closing Time for general release and Q&C4 really just needs me to be able to devote a couple days or so to filling in the gaps I had pointed out to me before it too will need the polish treatment. I really need to get myself some helpers at some point. Prereaders and the like. There are groups for that but I've always been too self conscious about going that route. To date the only person I've pestered for assistance has been the one person who offered it. But schedules change and interests wane and I can respect that. I still have received some good advice from those who wished to offer it and for that I'm always grateful. So, going forward, even if, just as with my art, I'm doing it alone, I at least have that bit of bolstering to help guide me forward.
From my return to my creative aspects I've garnered all sorts of reactions. From my more-or-less overlooked first attempts on here, my first attempts at pony art on dA that received first laughter and then harder laughter, to having both my art and writing be featured on such major community sites such as this one and EqD it's been a heck of a ride. I thank you all for sticking with me and watching my attempts slowly improve. Even though tossing out a fave, like, or watch may seem like nothing important to some, to me each passing moment of all these passing moments come together meaningfully and I feel I can never thank you all enough.
Take care and I hope to have more for you to enjoy very soon!
Hmm, I kinda miss the old avatar. It was so unique. No one else on this site had one like it.
1353773 Which avatar do you mean? I've changed a couple times whenever I've drawn a new piece using a square canvas that turns out well.

I had a piece of malachite for an avatar for a while which is one of my favorite stones but I wanted to try making some pictures to use myself. Not to say it'll never make a return, though; it's my namesake, afterall
