Because when I woke up on Friday morning that pretty much was my expression to discover I was top of the feature box
Honestly wasn't expecting By Royal Command to be anywhere near as well received. Seriously I'd kinda hoped I'd scrape into the feature box like Coincidences did and no more than that. After the initial reaction was lukewarm and I was getting a fair few dislikes initially I doubted I'd even break even.
So yeah pretty damn utterly awesome. Thanks to everyone who liked, faved, commented and watched as I appreciate every single one of you. Especially for me as getting better at writing has been a challenge I'll admit as the last time someone tried to teach me proper grammar was 16 odd years ago all the way back in secondary school. If you think Command still has issues then you should have seen the first draft of chapter one of Random Elements which got rightly crucified by EqD. So definitely an example of if you keeping working at it you really can pull off something that other people enjoy eventually which is just wonderful to me.
Thanks once more to my prereaders for assuring me it was a good story, making suggestions to tighten up some of the humour, pointing out needed commas and stomping on repeated writing tics.
Yeah I did totally forget Celestia's guards along with the chariot, but I'm not changing it now as it's pretty funny to think of them being left behind.
I'll leave you with this comment from The Ponytrician which personally is the best comment ever on this entire site, assuming of course you have watched Friendship is Witchcraft.
I always wanted my own lover,
Then Dashie showed up at my door
With a plan to get me booty
Even though it's 'gainst the law.
Soon I'll do *everything* to Trixie
Even things that aren't right;
And once I send this royal missive
She'll be in my bed tonight.
It's not creepy!
Congrats, man. You deserve it.
Congrats, It was a good fic. Maybe it will spur you into doing a longer twixie fic at some point.
