Also, redundant title may be redundant?
Just stopping by to let everyone know that the next chapter for Stardust is in process but may not be finished until next week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday (or earlier if I get vacation). I know, I know! Arad's missed his weekly update! For shame!
The reason for this delay is due to my pesky job requiring me to go into the office to work for the forseeable future (normally I am work from home), and the second is that my days off have been consumed with helping my brother in law build his house. I thank you all for your patience while I scrape together every spare second I can to get the next one done.
And on a related note I see Stardust is approaching 250 thumbs up, so I was thinking of doing something special. A one-off chapter that's a 'side-story' or alternate telling of existing events or something of that nature. And since Stardust would not have gotten to the point it has without the support of you the readers, I felt it might be fun to let folks choose what the entry will be.
A.) Somepony else is sent to Earth during the First Contact chapter. (I have what I feel is a clever idea with this one if it is chosen)
B.) The events immediately preceding and following First Contact told from the perspective of Lt Fujikawa. (whom has only been mentioned in passing in the first chapter)
C.) Something else! If you choose this option, I'd like perhaps one sentence describing the hook for your idea. As an example, a one-sentence idea hook that might have spawned Stardust would be "Twilight visits XCOM." Naturally you can use more than three words, I'm just keeping it simple for the sake of my example. I would also recommend viewing comments before posting your own, so if you see someone else's idea that you like, you can vote for them!

Hope it's not too late to vote. Looks like this blog post got missed by most readers; I only spotted it now.
A get my vote. I'd want to see how an Earth Pony or Pegasus would impress on the first contact in place of Twilight's OP magic. Be funny if it was a Pegasus and the ARC doesn't work on them (it's a glorified taser, right?).
Spike would be a cool alternate, too, since he could have a line of contact home immediately, but that feels like it would be more of an entire alternate story rather than be interesting for the differences in first contact.
A for me, it would be interesting to see something like Applejack in place of Twilight..
That Fluttershy what-if story was hilarious. I've also never seen a bonus chapter put in the middle of a story like that; I think it worked really well!
A) Rainbow Dash. Seems a lot of people like A but with different ponies.
