Okay seriously, you guys, what the heck is this? Is that supposed to be me? Why am I dog? Why am I wearing a tie? Why is everypony else a human while I'm a pet? Do my friends really see me as a pet? Am I gonna be like that forever? Is this just Discord trolling me again? I want answers Hasbro, I want them NOW. I don't wanna be a dog; dogs are furry and smelly and itchy! Seriously, I am not amused.

Spike, I think the reason they made you a dog in Equestria Girls, is, because....of the fact that considering how often you are tagging along with Twilight, that even though you are her assistant, or like her little brother, some would see you as like a pet. plus, it would be a better cover in the human world for you to be a cute little puppy, than for you to be another human, with a mohawk and what not...and may I say though, I'm honored to meet you, as a brony.
Maybe because you're not really a pony? Perhaps the portal affects other species different way. At least your role in the movie was a whole lot stronger than in the show.
I'm kinda having the same problem Spike, I hate being a human filming in that show.
