That's what I'm starting to call late revisits to chapters for minor error fixes -- because those errors are generally in her dialogue. It's one thing to decide on a system of word alterations which represent her accent, something to give the suggestion of it without having to spell everything out phonetically. It's another issue entirely to catch all of them. 'And', for instance. When AJ is speaking, it's written without the final letter: an'. Do you know how many times 'and' can crop up in someone's speech? A lot. And because you just spelled it correctly, it's going to look right -- for about two weeks. Plus 'about' itself is supposed to lose the first letter, and 'supposed' has 'up' taken out of it, and nothing happens to 'it', thank goodness for small favors, but 'to' generally deletes the vowel and guess what else just slid by? No spellchecker works for the pony variants of words like 'anybody'? None of them function for Basic Applejack either.
It could be worse, I guess. Twilight could be Russian.
