An Explaination, and A (short) Update to ACC · 12:22am Jun 18th, 2013
So, I've been slaving over the next chapter of A Canterlot Courtship for the better part of six months now. I've been unhappy with the way many things have been going with it, and progress has been really slow. Also, Real Life has been very, very difficult for me lately, and when I'm home my mind tends to end up being weighed down by things that are sadly destroying my mood for writing this sort of material. Now, don't fret too much, my friends... It's just a rough patch in my life. I've had them before, and I've beaten them before. I'm confident I'll get through this too, it'll just take time and tears.
But what this has led to is a situation where I have a scene that I intended to be the start of Chapter 5 that I've had more or less done for the better part of four months now. It's a completely self-contained scene (in fact with some modification it could probably be it's own fic) and it's just been sitting there. And I'm starting to feel pretty bad about making you nice people wait while I get my mind right again, so I've decided to post it as it is (or as it will be after a read-through, and maybe some revision.) It's short, I'm afraid, only about 2000 words, and I'm really sorry I can't give you more at this time, but I hope you still enjoy it.
The update should be posting in the next few hours, and I thank you all for your (continued) patience. Keep the faith, guys and girls!

But on a serious note: Take care of yourself first, okay? Don't feel like you need to write this for us. If the story is getting in the way of doing whatever you need to do to work through things, then do that other stuff first. (And if the story isn't getting in the way of anything, then Hooray! More story!
