Important Question Regarding The Atomic Series! · 11:40pm Jun 15th, 2013
Hey guys!
So, I only have 1 final exam to go, which is on the 19th of June!
I have tonnes of ideas spinning around my head, but one question keeps plaguing my mind which is a rather large part of the story:
This is regarding Mane 6 interaction. There are 3 options:
1- Omit ALL Mane 6 interaction and keep the story strictly OCs, maybe some BG Ponies. This would involve some OC owners creating another OC for your's to be shipped with, should you wish to still be in a shipping.
2- Only omit Mane 6 shippings. This would still involve Mane 6 interaction through such things as visiting them and possibly bringing them along for adventures, but strictly this and no relationships with them. This would again involve what was previously stated about another OC if you still wish for your character to have a ship.
3- Keep Mane 6 interaction as it is already. This to me is a rather unfavourable option. But I'd prefer to hear what you all think before I decide on my own.
What spurred this is my writings of the Mane 6. For me, I find it hard to write their reactions. From what we've learnt from the show, we know how they'd react to situations they've already been in, yet we don't know enough about them to gauge what they would do in more unorthodox situations.

Gah, I can't believe myself
All this time and it turns out I forgot to favourite it, which explains why I'm behind on about 40 chapters. I'd love to read through all of them in a few days, but I happen to have 5 more exams which constantly keep reminding me to stop doing things other than study my ass off
Until then, since I'm unbiased atm: Option 1 would give an easier time on figuring out what characters would react to what since OC's are malleable.
With Option 2, it's always nice to have the Mane 6 around, but if it get's too repetitive or more likely it'll be more difficult to juggle OCs AND the Mane 6; that's where problems kick in.
Option 3, since I haven't read it that much... well from your expression, it sounds rather troublesome.
So one wall of text and one analysis segment later... I would choose Option 1
(This is only based on low-interpretations, as I'm also conflicted about what Option 2 would entail)

I think Option 2 should suffice as it would be interesting of having the main six interacting with our OCs
You know, it occurs to me that if you change the stories this much, you might be better off just calling them something different and publishing them as new stories. A chance to start fresh with better quality stuff with the addition of the fans you already have. Just a thought.

I would do this, but considering it's still technically a rewrite, the site rules prevent me from doing so.
Lets just go with number 1 and go through with that....more than sure that we've all got another OC to be shipped with and such..

I think one sounds the most logical but two I think would be the most fun...time flip a coin...heads option 2 it is.
Either way, if option 1 or 2 is made at least you wont have any problems with shipping for Atom
