Twisting Between the Sheets - Update · 8:50pm Jun 13th, 2013
Firstly, if you've read Rarity's Mare of the Evening, but you haven't read Twisting Between the Sheets, (my god these titles are long) I invite you to do so now.
Moving on, I've updated Twisting Between the Sheets with Parts 4 and 5, and it is now finished. Again.
A quick explanation: If you read the fic at anytime after April 26, both Part 4 and Part 5 will be totally new to you. Have a blast.
If you read the fic before April 26 (the original ending) then Part 4 is a piece of the original ending (which you've already read), and Part 5 is a new ending, mashed together into some kind of weird Frankenstein monster. So if you're intent on reading the new ending, feel free to skip Part 4, though there are a couple important changes.
I apologize to anyone who read the original ending for removing something that has already been published and read, and I apologize to anyone who started reading after I'd already taken it down for taking this long to update it again. I waited just long enough so that everyone who had read the fic would have forgotten about it by now.
I feel the need to try and justify the changes I've made (you should stop reading if you didn't read the original ending - spoilers ahoy). In the original version, the ending was like a smiley face drawn with crayon onto a dead puppy's muzzle. It was clearly very terrible and sad to anyone paying attention, but it was presented in a way that it seemed like it was trying to be happy. Rarity's relationship was (most likely) destined to miserable failure. It was at odds with itself. Instead, I've written this new resolution in a way that it isn't super happy or super sad, but simply optimistic. I don't think it's perfect, I don't think it'll please everyone, but I do think it is better than what it was before.
I think I'd like to write an essay/blog post to go along with this fic. Like author's notes, but more general. Because sometimes I like to hear myself talk. I think I'll do that tomorrow sometime.
I feel kinda sad that there are barely any RariJack stories on EqD.
ok, bad memory. what happened in the first three chapters?

did it end up applejack said no and rarity started a relationship with....amy(was that her name?)
then it just ended like that right? like they got together and that is that and you didn't really read about say them going on dates or doing much of anything.

Pretty much. And 'Amy' is close enough, I guess.

I don't know that there has ever been a really big, popular, multiparter RariJack (those kind of fics that EQD seems to love), but there are a lot smaller fics (those kind of fics EQD doesn't seem to like at all). It's hardly rare, especially in comparison to something like Rarity-Pinkie or even Applejack-Fluttershy.
But you're right. I can't think of a single RariJack I found through EQD.

AbsoluteAnonymous has one.
One...
1143296 where the hell did i get amy from? (sugar sweet aint even close)
anyway i was hoping it was more actual plot, but eh. overall i am sure the original story is better. thought it was added to and not just a redone ending. kinda like it better, but being it's a remake of the original story, i think i will always prefer the original story, no matter how much it may be less likely or what ever.
