OH SNAP. · 10:39pm Jun 11th, 2013
I just ran 'Mayflies' through I Write Like and got Margaret Atwood.
I might run the rest of my fics through it and see what it says for them. I'm curious what Sonatina will come out as.
EDIT: For hilarity's sake, I went ahead and ran through three other stories.
The Sacred Sonatina -- William Shakespeare
The Note -- James Joyce
One Lie -- Stephen King
I put Twilight's Therapy Session through it and I got Anne Rice.
Thaaaaaaaaanks...

Well, if you want to feel a fuckload better, I put Sonatina through it. Guess what came out?
Shakespeare. And Shakespeare, Sonatina is not.
So that's about how accurate that is . . .

I know I'm not exactly a wonderful, award-winning author or anything, but comparing a writer to Anne Rice is a low blow.

I've gotten Anne Rice before, back when I was still writing about humans. You are in good company. (Or at least my company. )
"James Joyce"
Hahahahaha!

Yeah, like, as if.
The problem with that thing is that it can only tell you what amazing awesome writer you sort of use the same words as, sorta. If they had a more comprehensive list of authors, it'd actually be an interesting tool.

Yeah, I don't think it's even humanly possible to write like James Joyce.
You'd have to be batshit insane to write like that guy (not that I'm insulting him, he's an awesome writer!).
