Personal update · 7:18am Jun 1st, 2013
It's been too long since I've said anything to reassure people that I'm still alive, though I appreciate that no one has been so impatient with me as to complain. Things are moving along. Troublingly, my parents (who worked for the same corporation I did) were in the middle of buying a house when our location was shut down, so things have been hectic, to say the least.
I still haven't gotten a new job, but I haven't really had a chance to look too hard as of yet. It's not really any sort of problem in the immediate future; mostly I'm just busy, and when I'm not busy I'm too tired to be in the right state of mind to write what are probably the most important chapters of Sharing the Night.
It'll happen though.
You didn't write for half a year
Then you came back
And wrote more
And it was fucking awesome.
Hang in there man. I have faith in you.
s'ok
y're awesome
We have waited half a year before you updated, we can wait some more.

This, completely. Most people don't come back.
okay. we can wait.
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
I'll tell you the same thing I tell all the authors on here, who worry about complaining fans. Take all the time you need/want. Noone here is paying you to write for them, and real life is always more important than internet communities.
Do your thing, and take care of yourself before us.
Better to have another awesome chapter be delayed than to rush it and make it crappy. But thanks for the status update; it's nice to know what's going on and good luck on the job search. It's tough out there. *Still looking too* @.@
OMG YOU'RE ALIVE!!! ... Sorry I had to.
No worries, I understand how life can be a real pain. Take your time, keep your cool and we'll be here when you're ready!
It's good to hear your not dead, and that you're not immediately screwed. That really sounds like a nightmarish scenario though.
Best of luck. Glad to hear the story isn't dead.
I hope you've managed to get a job by now. Not having money is rather... inconvenient.

Inconvenient is certainly the word for it I've had some contract work recently, but nothing regular since the majority of my time until about a week ago went to moving my aforementioned parents into their new place with basically no help from them. They had children late in life, so they're ~70 now and huge pack rats. Seriously. Whatever you're imagining it, double, it—then double it again and add a garage and wasp infested storage shed.
I... am just now realizing that the next-newest response here is two months old. I didn't think it had been that long On the bright side, I am actually actively working on the next chapter, so there's that!
