Motivation, Where Art Thou? News and Updates. · 1:10pm May 18th, 2013
So, it's been a few fun filled weeks, but no motivation on the writing end. So, have another somewhat pointless self serving blog that simply proves to you all that I am still 'alive' with the writing scene, even if it may be laying in a dark alley bleeding out currently.
So, I had this drive to write, and then... I spent a few hundred bucks on new video games. So far, Tales of Grace f, Twisted Metal and Katamari Forever for the PS3 are all amazing choices, if you are in the market for games. They were my first new purchases in well over a year, and have managed to revive my appreciation of consoles, somewhat. And oh, let's not forget Disgaea 4. Although, hesitant to get into that one, if only because I lost 300+ hours of my life to the original one, and then another 150 or so hours to the third one.
Writing wise, here's what I've got. BOWTN. It currently has ~1/2 of the 2nd half of chapter 12 written. Chapter 13 is going to be a lead in, with some big reveals dropped. This is what I've been working towards. Chapter 14 is going to be quite a bit of information, some tying up of a lot of stuff i've alluded and hinted at. Then, Either Chapter 15 and Epilogue, or an Epilogue. It really depends on what I want to do post climax with the story. And oh, there will be a sequel. Somehow, it's already planned out. It'll be taking place somewhere around six months after the end of BOWTN. Also, you'll be getting a segue / 2nd Epilogue in BOWTN so that I can avoid the whole posting a 'new chapter' to simply say 'hey folks, sequel is up!'. The basic plot line is mostly figured out, as well as some conflicts. It's something I've been wanting to explore, and this will provide the perfect opportunity to do so.
Knight's Steps. Poor thing. Was writing furiously for some time with it, then someone revealed a flaw in my thought process. Or, more specifically, a flaw in the fact that I hadn't thought much of it at all out yet. Now, it is figured out, at least to a degree. Right now, I'm trying to decide how to avoid the Slice of Life trap I almost always fall into. As is somewhat obvious in my subpar attempts to skip a week in the story with BOWTN. Not that great at it. Also, realized this story will be much shorter than BOWTN, if it passes 40k words I'll be surprised.
Other writings. I still have the MoonLight Dark Romance I'm working on. I also have an extremely short piece to go along with Cvbrony's Rites of Ascension universe. Ideas that've come to me as well that've made it to my paper, the foremost being a Vampony Twilight story. Also contemplating a dumping ground in the form of a very obvious SI that would be more of a 'I don't know what to write, so here's some drivel.'
So, yeah. Really need to get back to writing. For all of you out there who are following me and reading a story, or multiple stories, thanks for reading my stuff. Some other notable mentions as well here, in no particular order. Q97randomguy. Always, and I mean always, appreciate your editors. Very helpful people. Cvbrony. Even with everything going on with him, he's still around to chat and kill time, not to mention he's been really making progress on Rites lately. PocoRitardo. Cool guy, nearly always around to help bounce the most random ideas I get. Also, helped me solidify the basis of BOWTN sequel. And anyone else I forgot to mention that I speak with and talk to on any basis of any sort. Folks from this community have been most enjoyable to chat with.
And lastly, it's been awhile since I've blasted some numbers. Recently hit 150 Followers, so that's pretty nifty. Also, BOWTN just hit 400 Upvotes, and is still at 16 downvotes, so I'm not complaining at all there. And, 600+ Favorites for it as well!

Every time I do that, I get as far as opening the document, and then decide to open up a new tab. It's very common for me to go the entire day with a Gdoc page open, and not write a single thing down. Literally it just sits there, and I'll go back to stare at it for a couple of minutes, somewhat expecting to see the words magically appear there, and then just go back to whatever I was doing. Kinda like when I open my refrigerator, shut it, then open it again a couple seconds later.
EDIT: I just looked over at my tabs and realized I had my Gdrive open, but haven't typed anything today *facepalm*
