In other news, thought up another quick premise so jotting it down here so everyone who reads this (all two of you) can input your thoughts and ideas on the shit my brain creates so I don't have to study. Wait, what? I need to pay better attention to who is a good role model, I have wavered from the path of Twilight and taken the road of Rainbow!
So I am thinking that Twilight is looking for new energy sources to help fuel Equestria's growing dependence on magical based appliances. Having done some intensive studies into how to harvest magic from the environment, she decides to create a large rune in the Everfree Forest to hopefully harvest some of its wanton energy. As all stories go, everything goes according to plan accept for one little detail. In this case, Spike damaging one of the containment rings as he carelessly stops over it (damn it Spike, stop being the go to idiot!) Yadda, yadda, yadda, shit happens and Twilight gets blasted with all the energy in a 800 meter diameter rune.
Haven't got much further than that. Sometimes YouTube poisons how our brains think.

Well, let's see. Everfree's wild magic, all being poured into Twilight? I can see this causing her to transform, or be teleported through time, space, and/or reality.

As I said, it is not nailed down at all, my other idea I have been sleeping on for a year now. It was just a "Badass Twilight = Total Domination" post made me think about Twily trying to better her country and getting screwed over for it. No good deed goes unpunished.
Though, if I wanted to make it more slice of life, it could totally be about how she is trying to make the everyday lives of ponies easier.

Transform Twilight into a plant pony, and everywhere she goes plants grow at a crazy rate. Like, if she lay down and took a nap in the middle a nice clear field, she'd wake up in a clearing deep in a brand spanking new forest. (Clearing because the plants consider her their mommy, and give her plenty of light for photosynthesis.)

The amount of conflict in a story based on that premise seems as if it would mainly focus on Twilight's condition and why Ponyville is now filled with trees. Or why Canterlot Castle gets covered in vines whenever she goes to visit.
1103885 or why the trees are suddenly talking to Twilight, and protecting her from pretty much anything that wants to hurt her while simultaneously following her wherever she goes so ponies start equating her with the destruction of their homes thereby making her an outcast in pony society forcing her to seek out some means of getting rid of/suppressing these new found abilities....
so yeah, basically the first only with a bit more added in.
Also, bonus points if she figures out she can 'convert' other ponies by accidentally doing it to Fluttershy (who would like to be a tree.)

I suppose I feel the idea of plants suddenly moving when they have not in the past to be utterly preposterous. Having a heavy math and science background I feel there needs to be a big reason for all the plants to somehow change how they work and gain new tissues to support movement. Some plants can move, like the venus flytrap some other carnivorous plants (I am sure there are more, these are the ones that just come to mind).
I could maybe see some plants in close vicinity to her when the accident happened to gain some mode of mobility or if she creates any spores/seeds, those would have new characteristics. But my mind cannot logically justify any plants should would be near. However, Twilight having an aura that makes plants grow at an increased rate, sure, why not.
1103906 Umm.... what I meant by 'the trees are following Twilight' was basically they appear wherever she goes. Not because they were actually walking, but because they grow so fast around her it's like they're always there.

That would be incredibly annoying. A tree growing at 2 feet a second, napping in a field would soon lead to stockade around you. She would effectively trap herself in a prison if she stayed anywhere for a couple hours. Pretty sure that would be more of a comedy fic.

The way I see it, they would not touch Twilight, leaving her in a clearing that is surrounded by a wall of trees. So she has a clearing to herself but no easy path out.
The idea has some intrigue, but it does not quite fit into my view of the Everfree and the reason for its wildness. My thoughts were that Twilight would basically be incinerated by the magical flux while Spike can only stand there and watch; knowing he caused the mishap. This idea is very much left open ended and not tied down. My mind has been focusing on 3 other ideas I could write about if I wasn't such a puss about it. Two of the ideas are in a previous blog post.

I like the desperation involved how a character would deal with hard times. How the story goes would be very dependent upon what state Twilight was left in. Completely incinerated, not even bones left or burned from the inside but still breathing, in a catatonic state and all the color has been bled from her. There are just so many options!

I suppose it is better than not really feeling anything and unnerving those around you. Being human is to feel, and people who do not express emotion confuse others and unknowingly alienate themselves. Which generally leads to a pretty lonely life even if they do not want one.

Would being angry be considered negative in this sense? Cause that is expected of guys and I consider it a negative emotion. It is just a view held by society, that is something you can adhere to or not. But having no emotion is more unnerving than having too much (having too much just makes others think you are gay, but there is nothing wrong with that).

I always use my desktop (or floortop as the case may be). The lappy is just used when I am on the go. It is only an email and page surfing machine now, poor battery is almost gone as well.
