    Yo.

So this has been a long time coming, but I gotta say it: I'm most likely done writing here.

    Quick thoughts on Season 4

I've watched through Filli Vanilli, and I gotta say... I'm really liking it so far.

Probably my favorite episode of the bunch so far is Pinkie Pride. I like pretty much all of the music in it, and it was a really interesting take on Pinkie's character.

    What do you do...

When you give someone everything you had, and yet receive nothing in return.

Some of you might remember this blog, in which I explained the story of how I met the first woman I fell in love with, and the debacle surrounding it. Well, that whole deal has finally come to a conclusion.

    catching up

Well, since I'm trying to start writing again, I thought that it might be a good idea to catch up on canon and watch the episodes in S4 that I haven't seen yet (seeing as the last one I saw was the Daring Do one...). Once that's done though, more writing will be done! I think I'm going to try to tackle a new YB chapter and the first chapter of the crossover I mentioned earlier at once, just so

    Oh ho ho!

    INSPIRATION

See, I have a pretty good idea for a story that came out of nowhere. That tends to happen sometimes. Yeah, it's not Your Beutifull right now. But I think if I can get cracking on a different concept, that'll get me some motivation to keep pushing on some other stuff. Especially since swimming is done in about three weeks.

Today is a day... · 1:31am May 9th, 2013

... that will live in infamy.

Actually, nah. Today brings back some pretty fond memories for me.

May 8th. That's the day I finished making changes to my first story (that isn't trash) on the site: The Things We Leave Behind.

Now, this story was officially uploaded to the site on the 4th of May, 2012, but it went by pretty unnoticed at first. A couple hundred views and about a dozen positive comments later, I felt pretty good about a story for perhaps the first time. I thought I had hit it big, that 300 views was something to be extremely proud of. As far as I was concerned, things couldn't get any better.

Then, a year ago today, my story passed moderation and hit Equestria Daily. Now, I definitely don't connect something like this to a story's success, as there are tons of fantastic stories that aren't anywhere on that site. However, this was something huge for me, as it reeled in a lot of views for the story. Landing a spot on EqD is probably an instrumental reason as to why a lot of you are reading this now and why I'm still writing.

But yes, writing TTWLB and the collective response it received is probably one of the fondest memories of the time I've spent on this site. I still think that story is the work in which I poured the most time and effort into, and it shows. While my writing has definitely improved since then, I wouldn't change the story from the way it is. It holds too much nostalgia for me, and it seems to be doing well enough on its own. Even to this day I receive positive comments and PMs about that story, and, well, it means a lot to me. So thanks to each and every one of you who has been a part of this. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I wouldn't be the same person here if it wasn't for you guys. I still can't believe the response the story received, and I'm extremely thankful that I've been able to influence so many people, even just a little.

So thanks. Here's to all of you for sticking with me for the past year. You guys are awesome.

Until next time,

-TSB

Oh, one more thing. I may or may not be in the planning stages for another fic in that story's universe. Just so that's out there.

I would love another story based on that universe.

The things we leave behind had a huge effect on me, and also was not only my intro fiction into Fimfiction, but was also the one that helped me turn my life around after a similar tragedy.

That followed up with 'In History, Maybe' was an amazing read that paralleled a lot of my own hardships.

Needless to say, I would love to see more of that universe.

I'd say The Things We Leave Behind is one of my top 5 favorite stories on the sight that I've read. In no particular order they would be: TTWLB, Salvation(mature), The Empty Room, My Little Alicorn series, and The Wind Beneath Her Wings(mature).

I feel like one shots are harder to make a lasting impact on readers because they are done and over in such a relatively short time. So the impact that TTWLB had will having a lasting effect on me that I plan on reading it again.

Keep up the great work TSB.

TTWLB was the first fic to ever really emotionally touch me. I still recommend it to anyone I can

Another TTWLB-verse fic? Bracing for feels in 5...4...3...2...1...:fluttercry::ajsleepy::applecry::raritydespair::raritycry::pinkiesad2::fluttershysad:

You should be proud of TTWLB, oh wait no, not should but you MUST be proud of this. I already read tons of fics of all kind, but TTWLB is one of its kind. It's one of the best fics in his category. When i read it I feel strong connection with characters. What about story ? Story you show also stuck in me, that means beautiful, touching and full of emotions. And ofcourse ending... it ends that it should end; no fake happy sweet, ending; it just end that it should end.
To be honest with you; if I will be able to erase reading this fic from my memory i will certainly do it; but only because to read it again and feel that everything again.
I am happy that you are still with us :pinkiehappy:.
I hope to see more fics from you ( most this from TTWLB universe ).

You already know this, but this was truly the first piece of literature that was able to reduce me to a complete wreck. I didn't get out of bed for hours.
Any new story in the universe is already on my "Watch For..". list. Just remember to take your time and hold it to your standards, not your fan's.

Another one?

Eh, I'll just excise the actual events of TTWLB. You already know how I feel about that. Other stuff in the 'verse is probably going to be good, though.

1068146 Probably the last one. I'm just planning it right now to see how it would work in the universe. It's not even really official at this point.

Well, I can't say I was there since the very beginning, but as the element of honesty loyalty, I can honestly say that that was one of the best fics I've ever read. I mean that.
I'm sure you are, but you should definitely be proud of what you've accomplished; that was one of the best fics to hit this site.

I've loved TTWLB for awhile now, it sits in one of my top favorites of my mind. Beautiful. :fluttercry::pinkiesad2:I haven't read In History Maybe yet, if only because it's hard to find time to read sad stories. Can't exactly cry in the middle if class. :applejackunsure: But I'm looking forward to seeing more of this universe! :rainbowkiss:
