Okay, so I suck at updating regularly. Majorly.
Though, at least I'm going somewhere with Banished. I've got over half of the next chapter done, and I keep coming back to it.
It's just slow going, and I keep getting distracted by shiny things.
And work. Being back on a regularly scheduled work-day is nice, but it leaves me exhausted in the evenings, and I want nothing but to relax and do something other than stare at a computer screen.
Working as a 3D artist is exhausting on the eyes, staring intently at all kinds of details for hours at end... Well, at least I like doing it.
As for Heaven Sent... You've already been waiting for... a while. I haven't given up on it, but I'm not getting anywhere at the moment. I keep thinking of it, and I know what's going to happen. I just don't have the energy to put it on 'paper', yet.
And when I think about My Little Princesses I feel nothing but shame. It's only one or two chapters from completion, yet I can't seem to write them... I'll finish it one day. Maybe even do the sequel I've got planned, it would be interesting.
Well. At least I'm not gone. More chapters are coming.

I'm doing the exact opposite of rushing :P The next chapter of Banished is one of those points where the story is made or unmade. It has to be perfect.

Well. I dunno. At least you've got a significantly higher amout of words each chapter to worry about. Combine that with a much deeper and involved storyline and universe... I can see why it takes long.
The Banished universe is going to expand quite a lot in a few chapters, so I'm going slow, making sure my idea is valid and interesting.

Hehe, well quantity doesn't always translate into quality. The last three chapters have about 28K words of deleted content each
So, taking your time is perfectly viable. It's better to be slow, yet have a complex and engaging story, then to go "Vroom vroom! MY OC IS SUPER KOOLIO SHE OUTRACES RAINBOWDASH AND OUT MAGICS DERPY"

Well, you know what you're doing. It has turned out great. Though 28k deleted words? Wow...
And oh man, there's so many stories like that. The "Vroom vroom!" ones that is. And so many that start interesting and unique, and then devolves into... well, that.
Still, it makes it fun to sort through the piles of... stuff, to find the gems like Cog hidden in there.
