So...wow I've not made one of these in a long while...
So I think all of TWO of you out there already know about this but...
Well...
I'm going to lose my job.
To make a short story longer. I've been working at a local-ish McDonalds for the past...year and a half now. My previous manager was known as 'Brad', and I'm not telling anything beyond that about ow to identify him because for all I know those guys are looking over my shoulder metaphorically speaking and, yeah.
Brad was...well to call him an asshole would be an insult to anuses everywhere.
Now, not to say he was a bad manager, he got shit done.
He jsut had an annoying tendency to PICK people and say 'I don't like that guy' and treat them like shit. I was one of THREE who wound up being his rage targets.
Now, before brad came along? I was doing jsut fine, even got employee of the month!
Brad shows up? that's all out the window and suddenly I'm the worst worker he's ever seen.
Now, all of a sudden, I've gone from a clean slate with no issues to write-up after write-up for minor-as-fuck shit. Literally tings no other manager has a problem with, things that the employee handbook made NO mention of....
On the last write-up he gave me before he moved on to a neew store, six MONTHS ago? He added the caveat 'the next infraction will result in termination'....
You can see where this is going, right?
Six months later, day before yesterday to be precise, I got a migrane. like, a really bad 'on the floor in tears from the pain' type of migrane.
My mom gave me a high-strength muscle relaxant to stop the pain, and it worked!
So I went to bed and when I woke up yesterday, she said 'stay out of trouble, that stuff will leave you drowzy and loopy for a full day'....and I have to get ready for work ASAP....
Yet again, you can see where this is going.
So I go to work, manage to make it in ne piece, I outright tell my managers, in person, "I took some really strong meds that are gonna leave me half-asleep and really loopy and easily confused to please try to be patient with me today."
It's fine, five hours into a six hour day running the register? no trouble.
Suddenly, i'm called into the back of the store....and one of the customers who saw me complained that I was 'a stoner'....
So I'm being written up for taking PAIN MEDICATION because a CUSTOMER THOUGHT I WAS HIGH!
They wrote me up, I was too confused to even know what ws going on until I heard the name that makes my skin crawl. 'Brad'.
They found my last write up, from six months ago, and saw that. they're speaking with their bosses right now to see if it still has merit and if it does? I'm out of a job...
In short. My head is killing me, the only thing that'll stop the pain leaves me unable to properly function without assistance, and I'm more than likely going to lose my job because my previous manager was an asshole...
now for most, this is just a 'oh, ok, I'll just find another' situation...
But here's the thing. In Ashley Illinois? There ARE no other job openings for nearly 50 miles that aren't McDonalds. and if I'm fired from ONE, I'm fired from them ALL....
I'm....I'm fucked....and not in the fun way, either....

hmmm, i wonder if I can use my ta'veren powers (or what I believe constiutes as it as my wierd as fuck life goes) to help you get a job?

Once the big super secret project is complete, I'mma put earned, honest work into fixing up the remaining chapters. I still think it'd be easier if I had help but who knows?

Kinda know how this shit happens, I lost my job from target...
Long story short I missed three days of work and that was grounds for termination.
So leaving with no ref (first job), I went into a three month job hunt. After finding a new pizzeria, I now work as a delivery boy and managed to get good friends and friends of friends to be my refs
