'The Mare Behind the Mare' Inducted Into The Royal Canterlot Library

I'm honored and humbled to announce that the prestigious curators of the Royal Canterlot Library have decided to feature 'The Mare Behind the Mare' as their most recent inclusion, despite me not making it particularly easy for them to track me down so I could complete the interview portion.

Hard Reset: The Movie: The Netflix Miniseries: The Review

I'm not actually going to subject you to the same shtick as when I reviewed Edge of Tomorrow. That's funny once and only once. But! This past weekend I watched Russian Doll on Netflix, Which is very much a merger between Groundhog Day and, uh, probably Final Destination, but I'll get to that.

    How To: Slice of Life

I wrote this back in 2013 for the site, but it never ended up getting posted anywhere. I fought it again today when I was sifting through my Google Docs folder and I figured that since I haven't had much of a presence on the site for the last couple of months I might as well toss it up in the hopes that somepony somewhere finds it helpful.

Laptop go Boom · 4:22pm Mar 23rd, 2013

Hey folks, good news bad news time. Bad news is that for some reason my laptop decided it didn't want to turn on this morning. I'm staring at the system restoration bar now and re-backing up an image of my system data before I wipe it clean and start from factory settings, typing this on my phone. Luckily, I'm more into clouds than a weather team full of pegasi so I doubt I'll lose anything. In fact while I'm waiting I actually typed out the last two pages of the next chapter of Stitch in Time on my phone. The google drive app doesn't let you share and upload via link, so I may not be able to upload it for a bit (although I just got an idea for a workaround, so it might be up right after I post this, actually).

Also the mobile interface for FiMfiction is a PITA for comment replies. I'm reading them, but probably won't be responding to very many. Fingers crossed that this problem goes away in an hour and this was a false alarm.

Actually, I haven't had a problem uploading stuff from my phone or tablet. I just copy-paste, no problem. Then again, I write out everything, instead of using the auto-format thing, so... XD

(Meaning in the Google doc I write out each [ i] and [b ]instead of using the normal... Whatever. But then again, when my Yumi (laptop) has problems, it lets me post from Astoria (phone) or Aura (tablet) instead.

Thanks for the advice. Also sorry for the laptop issue, I hope things turn out better.:unsuresweetie:

Yeah, i think adding a voice to the elements kinda takes away from the mysticism. Not knowing the extent of what they can do, and if they do have a reasoning to its workings, makes them more interesting.

Just thought I'd ask since it has been weeks.. what is the status of everything?

My laptop recovered just fine, thanks for asking.

Oh wait, that isn't what you meant is it? :trollestia:

I survived my finals so writing time opened up over the last week, I have about a half a chapter of Fate actually written and the entire story plotted out beat for beat. It's either going to be incredibly epic or an overambitious clusterbuck, so I hope to have a four chapters written and pre-read before I start posting unlike my usual plan of attack which is "throw it up as I write it and never look back." I might post a little teaser in the next couple of days.

I've also been banging my head against incomplete Optimalverse stories. Psychopathy is Configurable has been giving me trouble, but I finally pulled together a full chapter of it that should go up after another quick proofreading pass.
