Happy birthday, Mister Rogers. · 10:35pm Mar 20th, 2013

This doesn't have anything to do with my fics, so you're free to disregard.

Today would have been the 85th birthday of Fred Rogers, host of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, and probably the kindest man in human history. Like many, I grew up watching him on PBS. He was an anchor for me. As cliched as it sounds, we are richer for having known him, but poorer for having lost him.

I remember when he died. It was like losing your favorite grandparent. I used to enjoy watching him on TV

Manly tears shall be shed.:pinkiesad2::pinkiesad2::pinkiesad2::applecry::applecry::applecry:

It'd be cliche for anyone else. But this is Mr. Rogers. We can make an exception.

I loved this man.

the world has known many great and inspirational men and women, people who dedicated their time to the growth and education of others Mr. Fred Rogers was one of these great people and just like with the passing of those great men and women who came before him the world became a darker place with his passing, It will be a long time before anyone comes close to him if anyone ever does.

Rest in Peace Fred and may you continue to educate children for years to come through reruns of the episodes you left behind we all miss you man. :applecry:

His song still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it.

Grew up watching that show, miss being able to just sit down and watch it like when I was a kid. Heck it's the only show I'd let get away with something like wasting time to always show someone chang their shoes, because...well it's him and when he does it you know it's time to say hi or time to say goodbye.:pinkiesad2::fluttercry:
Man I miss that show. Miss the man that brought it to life and made it work.
