So what appears to be happening... Is that I am repeating myself. Kind of. But not in a bad way. Not really.
Sometimes a pear will do, is pretty much the same story as How to get to Equestria.
It's just bigger and more complex. It's not identical. The feel is probably a little different. But it is kinda the same.
This is pretty much what is happening with The Fitting and Vieled Violet.
Very similar, not identical and bigger and better.
Anyway. just thought I'd say.
Hm. I can sort of see where you're coming from. Both visitors arrive through the same means.
"Sometimes a pear will do" stood out to me because of the handling of the subject matter and the unique characteristics (and character) of each chapter.
In this light, "How to get to Equestria" could almost be seen as a sort of (spoiler if you haven't read it) "Changeling" chapter of "Sometimes a pear will do".
Even so, I don't feel as if "How to get to Equestria" exactly repeats anything from "Sometimes a pear will do" except for the means of arrival. They tell two very different stories and impart different feelings when read.
