Happy Birthday, Outlaw. · 4:08am Mar 19th, 2013
Holy shit. If I wasn't seeing it with my own eyes, I wouldn't even believe it. It's just so difficult for me to wrap my head around the fact that I've been working on Outlaw for a whole year now. I don't think I've ever dedicated this much time to something before, or poured quite so much of my heart and soul into anything, either. It's been one hell of a journey, and it's still not over yet, but I will finish Outlaw before the year is over. I'd like to say it will be finished before the summer, but the amount of time I've been spending on chapters lately says otherwise. I guess I didn't realize quite how much effort it takes to start wrapping a story up, even one with such a simple plot as Outlaw.
I've come a long way since I started this humble little story all that time ago. Anyone who's read through Outlaw could tell you my writing wasn't the best early on, and while it has improved a great deal, it's still not great by any stretch of the imagination. For crying out loud, chapter 2 had 8.9k words before I went back and revised it, and I didn't even add any scenes! What does that tell you?
A lot has changed from Outlaw's planning stages, and I really, really hope I've made the right decisions in changing what I've changed (some of the more drastic changes have yet to come, so I can gauge reactions when we get there). Who knows, when I'm done with Outlaw, I might even put up the doc with all of my notes and things that I wrote out before I started writing for everyone to see. That's not in bad form, is it? I don't think that's in bad form.
In other news, chapter 24 is nearing completion, and if all goes as planned, it'll be up later today! Also, I'll get around to posting that thing I've been teasing for a while now. It's been sitting on the back burner long enough, it won't hurt to get it out in the open.
Congrats on getting this far dude! Keep writing, keep being awesome, and don't worry if you wrote yourself into a stupid spot. (I do it all the time!) Good luck with all of the following chapters of your story and don't forget to have a bit of fun on the way.
On hindsight, I forgot when I started writing my story. FU-

Thanks, man. At this point I'm just trying not to screw anything up while still managing to keep it entertaining. Oh, and being ridiculously paranoid about the quality of my writing. The usual stuff.
I've been keeping track with the FoE Resource, but with this latest friggin site change, it actually tells you when you first published your story. So for you, it is apparently... the 9th of April. Looks like your 1-year anniversary is coming up too!
So Tofu, congrats on being extremely productive with your story. 23 Well thought out and written chapters in a year? All of them over 10k, sometimes 20k. Nicely done Tofu, I look forward to seeing what happens next and I'm looking forward to reading the stories about Razorbeak.
Congratz Tofu, I still have that ArmA 3 Alpha Lite if you are interested.
I know this was posted nearly two weeks ago. But I have something in the works to celebrate Outlaw's birthday, won't say much else, except it's from one of my favourite artists. Not any of the artists I usually commission or get requests from (i.e, SpyroConspirator, MisterMech, Burnout42 etc.). And in case you're wondering, no, I didn't do this because of Outlaw's birthday, it's merely a older commission which the artist thankfully continued to work on.

Dammit Tonto, why are you so awesome? You teach us, sir. You teach us all.
960912 Tofu, the commission I ordered is complete. Go check it out Fool! Fall Up!

Holy shit. Where do you find these guys, Tonto? You always seem to locate artists with the most unique and interesting styles. I don't know if its completely lost its meaning yet, considering the amount of times people have probably said it to you, but I really have to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You really took a crappy week and made it better with this.
