Why you so good.
This anime invokes memory's of FMA The Story the humor the characters don't get me wrong it's no in the slightest a copy or wanna be but I feel like FMA might of been a major inspiration for this anime.
The story is compelling Revolving around Ryner a master mage and Ferris a badass swordswoman hunting for something called Hero Relics artifacts from a long gone era when evil had dominated the world and heros constantly arose to battle it mystical items of magical power.
It is hinted that Ryner had some sort of plan to bring peace to the world with them or something thus he was sent out to collect them.
Ferris joins him under orders to protect him from danger her personality is the only reason Ryner get's anything done usually lazy and carefree much to her annoyance.
Ryner possesses a unique magical ability that brings misfortune upon those who know it often called monster this power the Alpha Stigma is vague but it's main use is in Analyzing magic spells using it Ryner can cast magic just by looking at the spell even finishing the others incantation if the other caster was cut off. (think Kakashi from Naruto)
to be fair magic is of limited use as a quick fighter can close the distance and interrupt spell casts with ease.
The story is great the animation is fine and it hits all the right notes just like FMA does.
When it's sad you get the feels when it's trying to be funny it get's a laugh (from me anyway) Serious and dramatic.
and the characters are believable and the world is far from perfect but be warned this anime does touch upon some of the darker subjects such as rape so check to make sure your ok with that.
watching it right now its awesome and yeah i love the darkness and the twists and turns of it all
