So, as most of you've noticed, I've been rather quiet all around, even with updating the progress stuff and whatnot. Sadly, I've hit writer's block. I'm now sitting somewhere around 7 pages written for the next chapter so far now. The good news of this, however, is that I've had plenty of time to both properly plan and outline this chapter, while also refining the ideas. And oh man, are there a lot.
For the next chapter, I'm going to go ahead and throw out a cautionary 'Dark events do occur' warning. While it is a very odd twist, to have Dark events in an otherwise rather lighthearted romance story, it comes with the telling of history that shall be happening. After all, one simply cannot view history through Rose-tinted Glasses, less they be doomed to repeat the same mistakes themselves.
Now, as far as the writer's block, there is a little bit of good news that has come of it. While progress on BOWTN has been slow, I've had the chance to open up most, if not all, of the ideas that've been in my head for the last month or two. Going to briefly lay them out here, until I can get back to full speed ahead with BOWTN, I've been jumping around these and writing to see if any of them are taking off.
- More of my Current HiE, Dreams Are A Gateway
- Another HiE, codenamed Alicorny. Yes, it has an OC Alicorn, and thusly proves my utter lack of any shame.
- A spoof of NMM's return. Concept here is Twilight is the love child of Celestia and NMM. Lots of humor, some of which is at the expense of other cast members. Well, most of it really.
- Another 'Twilight is the child of Luna and Celestia'. This one is more serious, and kind of pulls the story structure from Final Fantasy X. i.e., A snapshot from right before the climax, then a first person telling of the events leading up to that point, then the resolution.
- The MoonLight story. DARK Romance. As in, not going TwiLunEstia like Wanderer D's story. At least, not in a manner as calmly, if I so choose to do so.
- A Celestia Sadfic. Cause, fuck all these Twi sadfics. She's got eternity to research and develop spells? FUCK YEAH. Sorry, but that overrides any angst she may be feeling, at least for now. Note, it will have a somewhat happy ending.
The longest of these is sitting around 2500 words, the shortest only a few hundred. However, some of these are one shots that I'd like to write and get out at some point, even once this block is gone.

And, a thanks to Cvbrony, he's helped me refine this latest chapter.

Yeah...
Managed to write a whole page today on BOWTN, so was rather pleased there. Plus, wrote up another half page to my outline. Content is most definitely there at least.
