Alive and kicking once again, ladies and gentlemen!
Really, that isn't such a big deal as to concern itself with a blog post, but I did want to draw some attention to one other detail that's just come up. Well, two, actually.
Namely, I just posted two more of my pictures to my DeviantArt here. So if you want to know what *I* think Soldier On and Red Ink look like, you can take a peek there. The art of Soldier On is the same one I used for the Poster in Act 2, but thinner lines and visible pencil strokes do an awful lot to make the picture have a bit of subtlety. The Red Ink picture, on the other hand, is brand new.
Now, before you go getting your hopes up, I am an author first, and an artist only fifteenth or sixteenth. What you'll see are essentially line-arts; no fancy shading, no crazy levels of detail. Just some basic images that you can look at to see what's going on in my head. Also, if you want, you can color them. I fully encourage this; after all, it's what got me my current (and insanely awesome) profile pic.

Also, though most of you are probably already aware of this, there's a new From Stalliongrad With Love up. Ghosts of the Past's next chapter is coming along smoothly.

I had someone with exactly the opposite problem: namely, that he got an update, but was unable to view the chapter. But Ruirik had the same issue as you, and posted it as a comment to the fic itself.
I guess we'll just have to trust that since this blog post is set to alert everyone who favorited FSWL, that they'll get the update. Otherwise, I'm not really sure what else to do. If the next chapter has the same problem, I'll ask one of the mods.

I've seen this happen before, and it usually goes away on the next update.
If anyone missed the blog post they'll just get a surprise double-update somewhere down the line.

Speaking of what's going on inside your head regarding your OC's...I'd be curious to know how do you envision their voices sounding? Are there any actors or actresses out there that come close to how you picture Red Ink, White Flag, Dead Reckoning, Going Solo etc. when speaking?
