Seeing as how there will soon be major developments in the story and continuity of the show (not the least of which being a certain unicorn gaining a new pair of wings), I have decided to wait and see what will happen before I continue with The Maker. It's one of the downsides of writing fan fiction for a continuing series: You never know what will develop next and it may not coincide with your own vision. That being the case, everything you've written may or may not become completely irrelevant when the new continuity drops. I know it's not the wisest idea to let the show influence my creativity like this, but taking into account the time frame of my story and how I don't want to have to relegate The Maker to the "Alternate Universe" bin, I'd like to see where the show goes with this major change before I continue on with my work. Maybe it will make no difference, maybe it will call for a major re-write, maybe I'll be so peeved at "Alicorn Twilight" that I'll say "Forget that!" and slap on the AU tag. I don't know.
And neither do you, all you whining conspiracy theorists! Wait for the episode to air before you get your underpants in a knot!
