Eureka! A new dirrection for "The Maker." · 10:33pm Jan 1st, 2016
I've had a flash of inspiration regaurding "The Maker" that may just help in getting the story going again.
One of the problems I've had in writing "The Maker" is the idea that the story takes place after "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" has completed its Television run. Seeing as how the show is still going strong and has at least a sixth season and a full length film in its future, the evolving canon has played Mary Hob with my story's processes and progression, necessitating multiple rewrites. That my not be a problem any more. Rather than have the story take place after MLP:FIM has gone off the air, I have determined a spot during the show's existing run for the story to take place. This way, I can continue writing the story without needing to worry about new facts, characters, and changes in the canon. With this major obstacle out of the way, I've had the chance to solidify some points in my outline and find some new motivation to write again. I can't promise regular updates, but I will finally be taking up the pen again.
I have gone back through the story and have rewritten those parts that need to be revised in order to bring it into line with the new dirrection. There are some major and minor changes that have been made to the story, but the overall premise remains the same. Still, I recommend that those who have read what exists of the story go back and read it again.
