    Story Draft: A Changeling Perspective

Due to numerous events, namely regarding Hasbro, work loads over the recent few years, and falling out of the fandom for my little pony, (Which can be read about in more detail here , I've decided to release my storynotes, regarding what was planned with each of my fanfics. This one, dedicated to Fallout Equestria: A Changeling

    Story draft: Puppets of Tragedy

With my leaving of the fandom, I'm leaving behind my notes, written and otherwise regarding the story I had in mind before I more or less left the fandom, the list of reasons can be found why, here, but with my passion for MLP; and Hasbro as a whole has taken a massive hit over the years, I don't want to leave too many things

    Long Term Post

Apologies for the constant inactivities these last few years, It has been a rough series for the last five years, between covid and work, among other things, I had lost my creative spark for the MLP fandom, though the later loss of fevor for writing has been largely in part of my blatant dislike for how the show handled itself towards the end of Season 3 and onwards. While I enjoyed the amount of

    A sort of Curiosity.

I've been a fair bit... blocked up when it comes to writing several of my fics. While I intend on continuing Puppets of Tragedy for quite a while yet, I find my other main fic, Fallout Equestria: A Changeling Perspective has gone into a death spiral for writing, since I can't ever seem to be quite happy with writing the snow hounds as a culture, to the point I need a break from viking mythology,

Am I predicting the future or something?

Seriously. How many things have I wrote long before that ended up being in later episodes?

A character named Sonata who happens to have a similar mane and coat color scheme as me all the way back in the second EQG movie, followed by...

Winds of color book 1 Q and A and a side note · 12:30am Feb 6th, 2013

Dear Readers,

Thank you those who wait patiently if oddly, quietly, for the updates to my first offical fan fiction. Just wanted to give space for misc. Questions will be awnsered with either direct information by either blog or direct Author notes, Ill awnser the questions ive recieved so far from a few friends since everyone around here seems to be a bit shy to comment for some reason...

Q: What Time does "Winds of color" start at in chapter 1?

A: Shortly before the canterlot wedding. About two weeks to be exact.(Saving that exact time dosen't start working on my clock for them until they learn what the time is VIA the sun and asking around.

Q: What is Irid's and Twig's Cutiemarks?

A: They are both blank flanks. In case you missed it, Pete went over that before the Magic lock.

Q: So why did the Magic brace fail to restrict Irid's magic?

A: My personal theroy on unicorn magic is that the modern day unicorn has evolved to use magic from without (ie outside energy) rather then within. The magic brace was made of a metal to restrict the flow of magic, but their purpose was to prevent unicorns from drawing power from the enviroment and using it to cast their spells. While the effort strains them, it dosent nesscarily tire them. I point out Twilight doing a massive amount of magic to pick up an Ursa minor. While it took great strain and effort to lift it and do all those tricks, her physical body wasn't worn out. she still walked perfectly fine and peformed physically well without Aide. The same thing happened when Twilight had a "Magical eruption" as a Filly. Bouncing around yelling yes is hardly what a tired body would want to do at that age after releasing personal energy. Irid on the other hand is from a differnt generation of unicorns who magic is meant for wider spread, less refined magic. with slightly longer pointy horns are their physical attributes in comparison. They lack the downward spiral present in most unicorns horns of modern equestrians today. Their magic also comes from within, while this gives the advantage of larger amounts of energy in a wider spread, the unicorns casting the spell can easily loose a lot of bodily energy rather quickly. So instead of casting spells like say, a Fireball, which is shooting heated plasma and energy at an enemy, which would not be a problem for a unicorn like Twilight, It would instead cause a massive drain on the bodys personal "fuel". Unicorns in Irid's days fought with solid magic that could be recalled back into themselves afterwards to prevent having to rest for overly long periods of time.

Too long? heres the short version

Irid's magic can be defined as gas powering an car while Twilights a Dam Channeling a river.

Q: where did this old equestrian thing come from? its not canon... and who are these old Equestrians?

A: Alternate. Universe. Also, Verons are their offical name, "Old equestrians" by the current equestrian inhabitants, in case you didnt read the start. Wont start explaining their society until more dreams pop up.

Please send me a message if you have any more questions, Also, where did that editor wander off to haha...

Side note: Wow, never thought people would "watch me" besides my "editor" Spalding ... kinda cool. specialy when one of them is an author of "why so shy?"(by Mast234) which I favorited only a few nights ago, and another is a dragon! (Mteverest21).

PS: Everypony have a great night.

-Your faithfull writer,
Iridesence T. Wind.

Hey Irid! I actually just got back to the world of the internet today after having to do a massive amount of projects in an inordinately small amount of time. I will begin the whole editing process of your story as so far as soon as possible! I'd prefer it if I could be in contact with you via skype or whatnot if you're okay with that... I just like to be a bit more personal with the folks I work with. Like this guy: Vetter. He and I happen to skype a lot and talk about each other's stories as we write them, so it's generally a great help with the writing process. Anyway, I hope this wall of text isn't too daunting! I deeply apologize for making such a comment and leaving you hanging. You've got no idea how much facepalming I did as I looked at your story and noticed all the new chapters.

Anyway, awesome work with the story! Sincerely,
Spalding

799291 It's aright, been using microsoft word recently to prevent some major disfuntion, like spelling errors and sentance fragments
