After waiting for a couple of weeks, season 3 of MLP:FiM continues with the epic return of Discord. This time it centers around Princess Celestia trying to get the Mane 6 to reform him, but only Fluttershy is willing to do it. So how does the return of Discord hold up? Is it a disaster, or a brilliant episode?

Well I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this episode. I thought it was a really great episode that while having a traditional bad guy eventually turns good storyline, it's still handled well. Discord was being just as awesome as we saw him in season 2 of the show. Making a lot of good jokes and acting so random. Fluttershy was really awesome in this episode with being able to control Discord and making him turn over a new leaf. I dare say this is probably the best Fluttershy based episode I've seen in a long time. I especially liked it when Discord was giving Angel a run for his bits. I say it's about time that stupid rabbit had karma come pay him a nice visit. About my only complaint has to be that Princess Celestia never really explained how she would use Discord's magic. Is he using it to heal others? To teach other unicorns? I guess it's up to our interpretation. I really did enjoy this episode and it's great to see that Discord, while turning over a new leaf, still has a bit of a mischievous side to him. I also liked how he pretty much said the show's subtitle, "Friendship is Magic". It's a nice wink to the viewers. There were also a few tender moments between Fluttershy and Discord, especially when he was realizing his friendship with the pegasus. It was sweet and kind of cute. Overall, some great laughs, a good storyline, some tender moments, and Discord returning really makes this one of my favorite episodes of season 3.

Now it's time for some story updates. Chapter 2 of HKiSS is just about finished. It's undergoing some editing ATM and a little rewriting. Hopefully by tonight or sometime over the weekend, I should get it out. I know all of you have been waiting, but please bear with me a little longer as I wait for my proofreader to look over a few more things before publishing it. Then I can hopefully soon start working on chapter 3. So just wait a little longer and I promise the next chapter will be out very soon.
I LOVED today's episode! Might be right up there along with Magic Duel and Sleepless In Ponyville for my favorites of the season!
I KNEW Discord wasn't a bad guy at heart, and I was proved right! Fluttershy also got major respect points from me, since she was always at the bottom of the Mane Six in my liking list.
The episode was great, in my opinion, but the last 2 or 3 minutes sunk the whole ship. It's like they intended to do a two-parter, but had to abandon the last half because it can only be one episode. Great character development, but they had to pull the "All I needed was friends, now I'm good!" card to fit the length. It's justifiable, but they at least could've made It a bit less drastic. I mean, he goes from chaotic evil, maipulative, and impish to good in one sitting. Ya can't explain that!

Am I the only one who was disappointed that he went from bad to good? I mean he's a God for the Gods sake. Finding friendship in a mortal/former enemy was just very dissatisfing in my eyes. Love how he spat a bit with Angel. All in all, a 6/10

The ep for me was great until about the end. The end seemed abit rushed as to Discord's realization of friendship. If Discord was given some time afterwards when Fluttershy told it stright to his face, it would have made the whole flow alot better, and would have brought for a lot better closure to the whole Discord and Fluttershy friendship. With that said, I still believe this was one of the better Season 3 eps. Is it the great episode? No. But it is up there for one of the better ones. Final verdict, 8/10. Also, HERE COMES THE SHIT STORM OF FAN FICTIONS!
728547 Well not everything can be perfect, but I was really satisfied with it.
Stop me if I'm alone on this one, but I'm not a huge fan of all the villians 'becoming good' and stuff like that. It was alright with Luna because that was really the whole point, but we need to keep SOME villians evil because as it stands all we have is Queen Sexy Chrysallis and King Sombra, and Sombra may or may not be dead... Still liked the episode, and it gives me hope that Discord will have a relapse thanks to that "I'll use my magic for good instead of evil... most of the time" So here's hoping!
Also, I'll take a look at it tonight, we can get this out probably before you go to sleep. Just have some things to do first!

That episode dissapointed me. But know that he's been reformed, he better have more appearances.
This was a good episode, one of Fluttershy's best I say
, and I did always find Discord's jokes to be pretty funny, while still being somewhat harmless, but hey, when your in a land ruled by pretty and cute manes, you need a guy's touch to really get some of the really funny jokes out there and the only dude we really have was Spike for that. So I welcome Discord to come lively things up a bit.
Maybe on a later episode Spike and Discord can even have a BRO moment with some more harmless mischievous, lol.
And really, who does Celestia thinks she's kidding, use sweet and adorable Fluttershy to reform Discord, like any dude can really stay a jerk or say no to her if she was your friend. "Well played Celestia, well played".

I think the episode was great, all tho I wanted it to be like an hour long special like they did with Canterlot wedding. First half he does chaos and th second half he tries to fix everything. But it was an excellent episode and it sure as hell made up for the whole derpy thing, where hasbro got rid of her....and for the episode we thank them. :3
