Happy New Year! (and Story Planning)

Well, I might as well use this since I've got it.

I'm not super familiar with Fimfiction etiquette, so when it comes to communicating via author's notes, self-commenting, blogging, etc. (so many choices!) I feel like I've been sat down at a table with a dozen mysterious utensils that look suspiciously like—but couldn't possibly just be—forks, spoons, and knives. For now I think I'll use each for whatever I want, at least until it feels right.

Major thanks to everyone who favorited, followed, rated, commented, or even just read; there are so many more of you than I ever expected and you truly were the icing on my giant cake of a year. I hope you like what little currently exists of Repeat Customers are Everything, I assume you must if you're reading this. It's been fun writing it so far and I get quite excited every time I read your comments.

A lot more will be happening in that story in the new year. There are so many ponies I want to write about (and some, especially Twilight, I already want to write about again), and imagining Aloe's antics is truly sublime. Please don't hesitate to tell me what you thought of it, especially if you have any criticisms: I write more quickly when I can easily diagnose the flaws in my work. Believe me, I love spending my time on imagination for this fic, and the quicker I can revise, the more time I can spend fantasizing writing.

Aside from that, I have partial or entire sections of about a half-dozen fics that are waiting to be revised and published. A few are one-shots with an option to extend, some are longer. Pony and Humanized, I love both. Repeat Customers is my ongoing leisure piece for when I want a break from these, but they are going to start getting published soon (I'm even already searching for art for some... tricky) so look forward to that. I'll probably use this blog to talk about those as they are published. I have some non-FiM fics I'm still working on too, so I may need to take a break in a few months, but on the whole my year isn't looking as busy as the last one.
