Chapter 5 of "A Canterlot Courtship" is officially underway. Looks like four scenes at this point. Still shooting for my typical chapter size of 7 to 8k words. It slows my posting down, but I think it makes the chapters flow better, particularly in a story like this with little 'action.'
One of my pre-readers and I were talking about this the other day, and the subject of the proper music for the TwiMac pairing came up. Her suggestion-

Never really thought of music and shipping going together. Generally music just puts me into mindsets of single ponies focusing on something else. Perhaps I'll take a browse through my acoustic solo lists and give it some thought...

This one here is one that strikes me as fitting TwiMac as you are writing it; calm and down to earth, a gentle force drawing two hearts together rather than a whirlwind of mad passion, all dusted with that little bit of magic.

Years and years ago, when I first got into writing fanfic, I wrote a story in the Teen Titans fandom that had Beast Boy having a big feelings talk with Raven after receiving an acoustic guitar that once belonged to his late father, and that was instrumental (no pun intended) in bringing his mom and dad together. This is the kind of gentle, lovely song I'd imagine being played on that.

Indeed it was you that got me idly thinking about it, I brought it up to my pal Calliope, and within a few minutes we'd sketched out a rough idea of how the basics would/could play out. It's in the queue... I'd say it might write when one of the other two pony fics is done, or nearly done. Can't be exactly sure, since I officially have no idea how long ACC is going to be now.
Also my pal Orange (yes, that's what we call her) and I traded texts at work today while I was pretending to be productive... Got a few ideas for chapter two of "Pony Rock Opera," and I think I have an idea for the basic personality of former lead singer Pokey Pierce. Kinda burnt out 'legend in his own mind' wannabe rock star, I was thinking kind of a combination of David Lee Roth from Van Halen and Spiccolli from (the movie) Fast Times at Ridgemont High. We'll see how it goes.
