I'm a big time Reader/Commenter, Music Fan, and Weirdo. I'm also definitely the number one fan of Carrot Top (the pony). Music Recommendations.

    Tape Deck's Mixtape: Track 37

Radiohead is one of those really popular bands that deserves to be as such, as they have some great music.

    I love Ok Computer.

However, that's not my favorite song of theirs.

I knew that this song was an instant favorite just within the first 90 seconds of hearing it.

    Listen to it.

    Please.

    Tape Deck's Mixtape: Track 36

    I'll be honest.

I've only listened to Dark Side of the Moon.

    But it's fantastic.

    Especially on vinyl.

Time by Pink Floyd from their aforementioned 1973 album.

    Tape Deck's Mixtape: Track 35

    Men at Work.

The greatest Australian hit machine of the early 80's.

Who Can It Be Now? was at the end of my story, so here's another from the same 1981 album, Business as Usual.

Be Good Johnny by Men at Work.

I only like dreaming all the day long...

Tape Deck's Mixtape: Track 34 (Oh my gosh Flurry Heart is Still the Cutest Thing Ever)

Ok, this is the only time I'll skip posting a song from an album. (But don't worry, there's a different band down below. It's a twofer today.)

Polygondwanaland by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is a sort-of prog rock album that came out in 2017.

I don't really want to link a specific song though, as I can just do this (and I swear this is perfectly legal):

Don't do drugs people.

People are Strange by the Doors, from the 1967 album Strange Days.

Oh wait, that song's a little short.

And this is a horseword site.

Guess I can include probably one of the weirdest "songs" of all time.

Horse Latitudes- Same band; same album.

Lyrics:pinkiecrazy::
When the still sea conspires an armor
And her sullen and aborted currents
Breed tiny monsters
True sailing is dead!

Awkward instant
And the first animal is jettisoned
Legs furiously pumping
Their stiff green gallop
And heads bob up
Poise
Delicate
Pause
Consent
In mute nostril agony
Carefully refined
And sealed over
(Lyrics end here)

Yes... Yes...

Push those lil' ponies overboard when the wind stops blowin'
That's what you got to do so your ship keeps goin'

No way, I actually referenced People are Strange to my parents yesterday (who remember the song being pooular as kids, reaching #12 on the Hot 100 in 1967) at my family memorial day cookout. My mom mentioned something about how everyone is different for some reason and I started singing people are strange 😂.

Did I mention how much I appreciate the chart stats? Keep 'em coming.

And why must the coincidental quantum entanglement stretch this far?!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...:raritydespair:

And I didn't make it very clear:

Push those lil' ponies overboard when the wind stops blowin'
That's what you got to do so your ship keeps goin'

That was me, not part of the song lyrics.

Wonder what the Equestrians would say about what used to happen in the Horse Latitudes?

How about something more appropriate for today:

If anyone can make me like country, it's you, Heartland Picker.

That was great.

Wait wait that choir part came out of nowhere.

Oh boy this is awesome.

On the subject of country music, raise a red Solo cup to the memory of Toby Keith:

Yes, that may have been the only song I knew of his, but I remember it fondly.
