My old work · 5:14pm May 5th

Hi; I'm alive. I'm now in my late 20s, have a master's degree, and work full-time. I do still write, but while I am still fond of MLP-FIM, I've moved onto other stories.

So today I got a message from a buddy who told me he shared one of my works with a friend, Rhubarb. It has been SO LONG since I've written that; I instinctively cringed. I'm sure everyone who wrote as a teenager gets it. I suppose if you never write with "meh" skill or even cringe, you will never improve as a writer.

For such an old work that has many flaws (and story turns I would not have included if I wrote it today), I am still surprised to see it had such a positive reception. I admittedly got freaked out by seeing it featured, and it affected my writing at the time. I've learned a lot since then and matured; I still almost deleted it out of shame, but something is staying my hand.

So, if you read anything here, do bear in mind my skills and writing style have changed since then.

All the best.

I still have fond memories of your work and I'm glad to hear you're doing well, to say nothing of still writing. n_n

Think you'd be up to sharing your new works? No is of course a valid answer but it'd be fun to see how you've changed (and improved I bet!)

Thank you; I'm glad to hear you have fond memories.

Sure, but please be aware it's not MLP; it's mostly Persona 5 at the moment. If you're still interested, I hope you enjoy it. https://archiveofourown.org/users/JuneLuxray

While writers do move on, I really wish that deleting the old was considered less. I've found many works deleted or removed from the site that deserved to be preserved. One of the saddest examples was of one who had moved on, and purged all but one story. They at least gave us a warning so that I could write down the names and find them on the archive, but it removes a part of the past that some might want to revisit, both the writers and the readers. And someday, you might look back on things you've once done and be proud of them as valuable learning experiences, regardless of how well they may read. All the best, good luck :)
