Hey folks, back a bit sooner than usual, which means like... years, I guess! Lmao

Ages back, and I mean ages, there was a ko-fi goal for wordcount updates, and I figure, I might as well finally live up to that.

So, what have I been doing?

Well, to be brutally honest, I've been writing out the concepts for a longfic mostly- but more on that later- and a few other small projects on the side.

The running name of one of said small projects I have jokingly referred to as "Catharsis part two: electric boogaloo" and is about what you might expect... A little sequel to my Anon/NMM fic. This time, with romance! And uh... More edginess and life advice! And setup for a potential future with even more complex villainesses, who knooows!~
Okay, being honest, It already has a running title and a general outline, but it's been slow-going. Been letting the muse take me as it may, as it were. Yes, that phrasing is redundant, I am fully aware.
I'm going to be honest, it's something I've wanted to do for a while, and it's the kind of story that gives me the warm fuzzy feelings. Not because it's particularly sweet, but mostly because Catharsis was a special story to me. And though I like the note it left on, I feel like 'what next' is an important thing to tackle. Life is a complex thing, no?

Another, "An Excessive Cookie Raid" take a wild guess. This one is mostly a fun fic, I've slipped Pinkie in for some absolute chaos, as the two lovebirds have to go through a gauntlet of hell to get their prize: Sweets. No, not the pony, but that too.
I can't neglect the random background pony I attached to! What kind of degenerate do you think I am?!

Yet another, what I like to call the 'The Redux A Certain Boop Story Deserves' which is about outlined to the point the current one is...
This one, again, is one I have some warm feelings about. Mostly because working on it has helped me get on a core of my writer's block. Among other things...

Aaaand last but not least, a little fic I affectionately call 'How to Climb a Mountain.' One of the few here without an Anon or an oc in it, in fact- a Spike & Rainbow fic idea I've been sitting on for about, say, 5 years now. But a bit of inspiration took and it's gotten a comfortable few ideas set for it, a beginning and an end.

So, outside of my little projects, many of which don't move past a couple K here... let's get to that longfic.

Said longfic, is sitting around 50k of outlines, drafts, small scenes and so on. It's sitting around 3 acts, with a 3.5 act for good measure, an epilogue, a solid idea of where the prologue is going to be taking from, plenty of ideas for a bit of an anthology sequel, and most of all- a shitload of worldbuilding and character dynamics.
All without a single human, fancy that!
A main stated goal of it so far is to mess around with a lot of tropes, constructively and deconstructively, and ultimately make a fic that embodies a lot of my feelings around the show and the direction it took. No, this isn't a 'tHe sHoW sUcKs' fic, more of an 'yeah, I saw the fate of G4 in G5 coming since like, season 4' kind of one.
Twilight and Octavia get a core role in it, as do a few others like Trixie, of course the princesses (including Cadance!), The M6 (extra Rarity for bonus points), the CMC, honestly a whole bunch. I can affectionately say it has been my 'brain rot' for the past month or two, and I've loved every moment.

However- it does come with a little bit of a snag. One of the most critical characters, that is meant to embody a lot of tropes for the sheer purpose of having fun- Is held back by one of my greatest curses. I'm shit at coming up with character names lmao.

Basically, they're a bat-pony, cutie mark represents fighting, and the like. I don't want to say much else about them for fear of spoilers and ruining some of the fun of seeing people's reactions to how I'm going to use them, especially regarding the tropes they embody and play around with.
While a part of me ran with 'Night Watch' as a basic use-case... eh... Felt a bit lazy.

For the love of god, if you have any good names you're sitting on that fits the show, send them my way. It can be edgy, but it has to be decent. You could literally name one of the major characters in my fic, and I would love you forever, but this goddamn issue is holding me back at this point and I want to rip my hair out.

But yes uh... anyways!

Those words do, in fact, be wording, and things might be coming. I won't promise anything because I am incredibly inconsistent and fiddly, but I'm having a lot of fun. Figuring out the source of your writer's block and overcoming a lot of it feels good, like indescribably good, though I fear it in itself has lead to me getting ready for a lot of other changes...

But the muse is flowing, as are the words. And honestly, that's all I can ask for.

Nonetheless, for the passers-by please help me with that name and the others just poking in~
