Hello, I noticed it has been a few months since my last blog post so this is mostly just to say I’m still around. There was a time on this site when a gap of only a couple of months wouldn’t be anything to bat an eye at, when you could assume safely that a person was coming back. But in this era, you can’t quite take that for granted. Alas.
I’ve got a little project that I’ve been whittling away on and it’s getting pretty close to completion. I hope to have it done soon. Spring would be the best time of year to post it. It’s not a story so much, it’s poetry. Now, I don’t have a whole lot of experience with poetry, but it’s been fun to try anyway. And isn’t that what we’re all here for, beyond even the pretense of commercial success? Also, because ponies are gosh darn cute, but you knew that already.
I’ve also found a local writing meet up that I’ve started going to. It has pushed me towards original fiction if only because I don’t want to admit face-to-face that I’m writing my little pony fanfiction. Not that I’m planning on stopping either. But as with the poetry, I think the best thing to do is to spread my wings wide. To try a wide variety of things. I think that’s probably best with every kind of art. And I would be pretty pleased someday see my words in real hard print. But even more than that i’m going to this thing to make friends. Doesn’t it always come back to that?
