In all seriousness though, happy birthday to both you and FHS! Has it really been four years??? Man, time really does fly...
Also, favorite?? Gaaah, why must you do this to me!? I can never pick just one!
If I had to choose, though, my favorite moments are Cheese proposing to Pinkie, AJ comforting her kids while grieving Granny Smith, Spike reuniting with his family, and Pinkie and Cheese getting married. They're all such heartwarming moments, though I would have to say that my absolute favorite moment is when Cozy and Melody reunite. After finishing the show, I was like, "...That's it? No redemption or anything for the Trio??" Needless to say, I thought they were setting up for them to be reformed after "Frenemies," so you can imagine my outrage when that wasn't the case. I was even kinda hoping Chrysalis would be reformed after what we saw in "To Where and Back Again, Part 2." Nonetheless, I could get past her and even Tirek being punished, but what they did to Cozy was just wrong, no, outright inexcusable, especially it being a children's show about friendship. But I'm ruminating at this point. Point is, I was desperate for any justice for Cozy's fate, even if it wasn't canon, and then I stumbled across "Dream of Alicornication" on YouTube, which was the very first story of yours that I read. Even though the ending was, well, less than happy, first thought was that this is the direction the show should have gone! Backstory, redemption, anything. And after reading OMWAT (and subsequently bawling my eyes out), I was like, "Is there a word in the dictionary that means BETTER than perfect?" Cuz if that word existed, that is the word I would use to describe that story, and this series as a whole. Sorry if I'm going overboard with the praise, I just want you to know that I love your stories that much. So much for a quick birthday wish comment.
As for favorite characters (again, really hard to choose,) they're all adorable, but I especially love cute and funny characters, including Flurry, Pumpkin, Annie, Stormy, and Buttercream. Pumpkin really makes me laugh, Flurry, Annie, and Butter are just cuteness all around, and Stormy is straight-up adorable.
For MLSiaD, I really love the Ester Dracos arc so far. Lily, Aster, and Pansy are all so lovable, and I think it's safe to say that the moment when Aster falls on the couch made me laugh the hardest (Nightwatch's couch, not when he was fighting Butter and she threw him on his couch. That was no laughing matter
).
All in all, I adore these series because of their focus on friends and family, which I love because friends and family will always be what's most important to me. Which is sad cuz that's what the show was supposed to be about, but apparently forgot about in the finale. I can't express how happy I am that we have fans like you who do what the writers could not. You really capture the heart of the show's original message. Never stop creating incredible stories like these.
P.S. This is what I've thought about your series for a long time, I just never had the opportunity to bring it up until now. Consider this comment like my unofficial "official" review.
