Axtara – Magic and Mischief Beta Call! And Some Surprising News! · 9:55pm March 29th
That’s right! It’s happening! Axtara – Magic and Mischief (formerly Magic and Mayhem, and Mischief isn’t final yet) is now in Beta!
Which means that Beta invites to prior Beta Readers have already been sent out! Check your inboxes if you’re one of those folks! Now, as to the rest of you? This is the public call! Do you want to be a Beta Reader? Now’s the time to speak up!
But what is a Beta Reder? Well, a Beta Reader is someone who looks for the missing “a” in that prior sentence. Or notices the missing quote mark. Or the double-comma. Or the wrong homonym.
Beta reading is all about technical errors. Grammatical problems that aren’t clearly dialogue related. Missing punctuation. The stuff mentioned above.
The framework? The core? That’s all set in stone now. No more chapter rewrites. No more plot changes. That was Alpha. Beta is all about taking what’s already there and catching the little stuff that fell through the cracks.
If you’re the type who’s good at spotting those little things (and I’m just going to say it already: this draft is really clean, so there aren’t many, but each one is an affront to Axtara!) and would like to get an early look at Magic and Mischief, well, then this might be for you.
