In the interest of full disclosure, Starsong is technically G3.5. One of the Core Seven ponies (along with Toola Roola, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Sweetie Belle, Cheerilee, and Scootaloo), she's the only one of the bunch who never made an appearance in G4 (not counting some cameos in the G4 comics... as a unicorn instead of a pegasus).
We'll plan a party with Pinkie Pie, then watch her balloons lift her up to the sky.
Scootaloo will show us games to play, Toola Roola will be painting away.
Rainbow Dash always dresses in style, Sweetie Belle's magic brings a great big smile.
I hope we hear a story from Cheerilee, and a beautiful Starsong melody.
So G3.5 might not be the best generation, but it does have the best theme song of any MLP incarnation.

So the most maligned of MLP generations combined with the music genre everyone picks on. I don't know about you, but I can shake my groove thing and jive talk. G3 also featured the songs Disco Dash and Shake Your Cutie (Disco Duck & Shake Your Booty respectively) in the special The World's Biggest Tea Party.

Much like Admiral Biscuit did with his PVCF app stories, I also focused on characters I'd written previously. There was a time crunch (I got involved in the middle of July, and I think I was the last person to join the team). PVCF is a great con and I wanted to contribute.
The Gee Threes actually throws back to a series of stories I wrote many years ago, starting with Hysteria. hysteria
The band is comprised of:
Wysteria (lyricist & vocalist)
Razzaroo (guitarist)
Minty (drummer)
Sew-and-So (bassist)
Starsong remains committed to a solo career, but collabs with the Gee Threes in the sequel, If Wishes Came True. Looks like she joined the band eventually! Of note, this can be read as a stand-alone. As can be seen by the story number, I wrote it well before writing Hysteria, even if I didn't publish it until after the prequel was released.

I still consider If Wishes Came True one of my best stories (certainly one of my favorites). Readers seemed to agree, considering that at the time I removed the ratings it was sitting at a 100% likes ratio, 31 to 0. It didn't set the feature box on fire, but it squeaked into the popular sidebar.
Before writing Car Wash & Business Trip this was my ongoing saga of stories, all starring G3 ponies.
Am I a better writer now than I was a decade ago? I like to think hundreds of thousands of words of experience have only helped, but your mileage may vary.

Toola Roola has been painting away, but she looks rather embarrassed. Makes you wonder what's on the canvas... There's a bit of hair visible in the lower left, which means it's either a portrait...or a rear shot. I'm inclined to say it's a portrait (there's just a hint of something being covered by Toola's leg, and it almost looks like it might be a bang of hair on the opposite side of the subject's head) and it's a surprise for Starsong. But it could just as easily be a rump picture.
Huh . . . so that's where your handle came from, eh? Learn something new every day!
