Not dead! Chapter 10 update · 3:05am February 2nd
Hi every-pony, I thought I should check in with all of you, since it's been a while since I provided any updates. As some of you may know, I lost my job in October of last year, and have been job hunting ever since. No luck yet, but it's not for lack of trying! I've been focused mostly on resolving that hiccough in my life, so you may well understand why I haven't been able to update. I've also been dealing with some writer's block, which I am only now getting over.
This month, I decided to get back to it, and have finally begun making progress again. I finished writing up a chapter outline, and have been able to write 300-500 words at a relatively consistent rate. I have written 13 1/2 pages in longhand, or 3,649 words. I'm actually over halfway done with the chapter! It looks like it might hit somewhere between 5-6K words this time, which is about half the size of my usual chapters. Knowing my speed, I expect I'll have it ready by next month. I'm actually aiming for mid-March ("Caesar! Beware the Ides of March!") but we'll see if I can get it up by then. I'm also making some plans for Chapter 11; I'm hoping to at least have a summary written up by the time I post the next chapter.
