Well, been a minute since I've said anything hasn't it? 2023 was an interesting year for me with a lot of changes in my life that once again, limited my time for writing which lead to little being put out. Of course work hasn't stopped, the first chapter of the proper Guild sequel is in progress now, with about a third written. It got slowed down a little bit as I had to go through and rethink many things, mostly working out a proper and logical timeline for the series.
The process of doing this made me realize that I kinda wrote myself into a few corners with the original story, mostly due to the fact of going into that story without a plan or intentions to do sequels. So there will be a few retcons with the coming stories and I am slowly going back through and editing the original story so everything lines up the way I would like it to, and upgrading some of the writing. Having gone back through and read the original Guild story a dozen times I have come to realize the vocabulary and sentence structure is, kinda lacking, probably due to my young age at the time of writing and I would like to bring it more in line with what I've showcased with the later stories.
Another reason for the delay with the sequel is due to me rethinking the way I would like the story to play out, nothing major has changed, but I went in a slightly different direction than what originally envisioned, though I am of the belief that what will be coming out will be a more interesting read. Of course I'm not going to be giving out any spoilers, other than the updated sequel title, "The Guild Of Equestrian Railwaymen: When Legends Rise just know work is being done, and that at some point this year, there will be new Tall Tale content. I hope you look forward to seeing it as much as I do, and with that all said, Mason out.
