I’m Back From Vacation + My Plans For 2024 Overview · 6:42am January 9th
Hello, everypony and Happy New Year! Yes, it’s a bit late, but I am pleased to announce that I am back from vacation and what an interesting experience that has been. It ended up being the most productive 10 days for my channel ever, the first G5 defense video was finally uploaded, and I even got myself into a bit of a minor YouTube drama regarding my recent response video to beatfox15’s Chapter 6 review. Fun, right? Well all good things must come to an end, and with the start to a new year comes fresh new opportunities and ideas. What are those? Well, I’m glad you asked as I’m about to give y’all an overview of all the major things I’ve planned for this year, starting with what is by far the most recent development.
1. Star Wars: The Trials of the Force (Part One)- New Chapters Every Tuesday!!
That’s right. As I mentioned before in a previous blog, one of my oldest stories on the site, Trials of the Force is back and I am determined to finish it no matter the cost. To accomplish this, I have devised a schedule that dictates new chapters being published every Tuesday until the story is complete. That means that while I continue to churn out new stories, Trials will always be worked on in the background. Chapter 17 will be coming tomorrow, so I politely suggest that y’all get reading and comment your thoughts on how the story is so far. I know I’ve asked this before, but so far, not much has come of it and it would really mean the world to me if at least some of you were to give it a fair shot and let me know what you think. Getting back into the swing of things with this story was honestly not that hard. I know exactly where I left off and it was like I never left it to begin with. I’m not sure what time specifically these chapters will be published, just that they will, so I’ll be sure to update you all with blog posts whenever I do so.
I’m excited to continue Silverstream’s epic journey, so if any of you are starved for some great fics focused on the Young Six AND you’re a Star Wars fan who loves themself some intriguing prequel-era content, then this story is for you. Stay tuned!
2. Long-Form Fics Will Be The Priority
While one-shots will still be coming out here and there, I want to go back to the original idea I had for my stories before everything got messed up and focus my attention on making long-form narrative fics that take time to complete. Obviously this goes for the Lunar Literary Universe, which will be comprised entirely of long-form stories, but stories under Elseworlds will still be given the same treatment. I feel like I’ve graduated the one-shot stage of my work and can now go back to what I always wanted to do on this site and write long stories that stretch my creativity to the limit. There’s so much I can do with these and I intend to make a lot of them, whether they be about G4 or G5!
Not really much else to say unless y’all want me spoiling some upcoming titles, which I definitely will not be doing. All I can say is that I’m ready to move on to the next stage of my writing journey and that I feel confident enough in my own work to get back to writing long-form fics. And this eases us to the third initiative I have planned.
3. Going Back To Writing G4 Stories
Now before anyone says anything, no. I am not in any way moving on from G5, nor am I going to stop churning out G5 stories. They will still be coming out consistently based on whatever juicy material that Tell Your Tale gives me to mine. That being said, I feel a renewed interest in writing G4 stories again and I will be devoting a lot of my time towards them this year. Obviously the LLU will be chalk full of those, but even stories that aren’t connected to it will be about G4. The thing is, while G5 has indeed awesome and I’ll defend it to the day I die, G4 will always have a special place in my heart. It’s the whole reason I even became a fan of MLP to begin with, so I wanna start getting back to writing stuff for it
I have a whole ton of titles planned for the year and 2025, but some of the most important ones will be releasing this year. I won’t be spoiling any major titles, but believe me when I say that I have quite the lineup, some of which will even surprise you. This is part of my initiative to create more of a harmony between the generations and to prevent my stories from becoming stale. I wanna keep you guys on your toes, so you never know whether one day I might release a G4 or a G5 story. It all depends on what I have cooked up in the ‘ol brain at any given time. I may have been a bit negative on some elements from FIM in my videos, but deep down, I still love it and will always love it. And if there’s a good story to be told, it doesn’t matter which generation it’s from. It will be told regardless.
4. Tell Your Tale Is The Future Of My G5 Stories!!
With Tell Your Tale set to be the one and only series for G5 for quite some time, it only seems natural that my stories will evolve with it. That’s right. I am finally dipping my hooves into crafting some interesting TYT fics. While some will be sequel stories to my favorite episodes so far coming in the near future, others will be based off of whatever interesting thing in Season 2 that I deem to be worth an expansion in written form. That doesn’t mean that the Make Your Mark stories will stop by any means, I mean, I still have the two “Dadabittle” fics to write and I’m sure there will be more every now and then. But I want my craft to change with the times and I’m looking forward to seeing what this second season has in store for us, especially with the four specials. Those especially seem to be where the most juicy material could be mined from depending if they give us some amazing stuff, so only time will tell what the future has in store.
But until then, my opinions on Tell Your Tale are only getting increasingly more positive the more I reflect on it, so I’m excited to finally give it the chance it deserves to be explored further and I already have some interesting stories up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share with you all once they release.
5. Finish Chapter 1 of the Lunar Literary Universe
I know I’ve been mentioning this universe a lot and a big reason for that is because I just can’t wait to get started on it. But I plan to do more than just start it. Oh yes, I plan to have the first slate of stories (which comprise one full DCU-style “Chapter”) to be finished by the end of this year! And this does have to do with my bigger plans that I’ll get to below, but all you need to know now is that the year will be chalk-full of stories from the upcoming series. I have been cooking up plans for it since all the way back in 2018 and with the benefit of my more extensive knowledge of good storytelling and character writing, I can finally bring this universe to life the way it was always meant to from the start and tell the greatest MLP story ever told over the course of 14 stories so far.
I’ll be making another blog on the 30th or so where I announce the first Chapter of LLU stories James Gunn-style, so stay tuned for that. This news is mainly to build anticipation for that blog, where I go more in depth about my plans for the rebooted slate. And this brings me to the final piece of news for now.
6. Announcing Live-Action Adaptations of My G5 Universe Stories
Now this is a very interesting one. Remember when I announced that I would be adapting select scenes from the Misty Saga? Well, presumedly nothing has come of that yet because I’ve been busy with other things. Until now! See, I decided to give that initial idea a massive upgrade and expand it to be full-on live action adaptations of every single G5 Universe story I ever made, which spans from I’m Looking Out For You all the way to Redeemed (currently). Now I am very excited for this and the reason why I upgraded the idea to full on short films is because I’m building towards a secret big project that will be revealed in the coming months, and I’ve also gotten a ton more ponies for Christmas that will allow me to do more things with this amazing shared universe I’ve built over the course of a year. So big things are happening with that and as my stories move forward, I hope to continue honoring the series that helped make me the writer I am today.
Currently, I still need to find release dates for each of these projects, but know that they will not only be released on the mainline Hawk Nightwing channel, but they will also be uploaded onto a new channel dedicated towards this secret initiative called Admiral Producer Studios. That channel shall be home to all of my pony figurine skits and short films and I’m quite interested in revealing it to you all soon so you guys can subscribe.
And that’s currently all I have planned for the year. Quite the ambitious list of goals, I’m sure. Will I accomplish them all? We will have to see.
