Hello, my fellow bronies,
I was glad to get Equestria Girls: Journey to the Mind of Timmy Turner out in time for Christmas, but I have a few more surprises for you as we await the start of 2024.
1. Fairly Odd Friendship: Bonus Material
Like many real-life stories, books, cartoons, and movies, many ideas are considered for scenes and storylines but are not used for various reasons. Part of the creative process is considering ideas and cutting out parts that don’t work, and over the years I have worked in this series, I’ve had many ideas and storylines that I ultimately felt wouldn’t work.
Still, sharing the roads not taken would be an exciting idea, so I will release fan fiction devoted to featuring unused story ideas or deleted scenes, as I call them. I do this partly because of my love for what has become my “magnum opus” and as a gift to those who continued to root for my story even during my hiatus.
I previously used the main story to publish the bonus material, but I felt putting that stuff on a separate story thread would be more appropriate.
I hope you enjoy the bonus content.
2. Fanfiction and Archive of Our Own
One of the lessons I’ve learned about art is that to gain success; you have to market and promote your ideas, albeit in a way that isn’t obnoxious.
So, over the next few weeks, I intend to do heavy-duty editing of my stories before posting them to Fanfiction and Archive Of Our Own. If you can contribute comments to those sites, I would greatly appreciate it.
3. A Fairly Odd Friendship Wikia Page.
While working to get out the sequel finally, WindystormLunarTurner told me someone created a wiki page for this story on the Fairly Odd Fandom Wiki site. I am happy to see one more sign that my story had a profound impact, and I invite anybody who wants to contribute to the page.
As we enter the new year, I thank all my loyal readers who continue to support me even through the longer-than-expected hiatus. I pledge to work hard at finishing the second story while giving you all the content you deserve.
