    Adulting is hard.

Buying a house is hard. Just saying that right now.

    So some minor improvements.

We have a new person at work, and they appear to be getting used to the job quite quickly. My phone, meanwhile, has been fixed, and I have gone to great effort to thank my current phone provider for having so much better customer service than my previous provider.

Househunting is still ongoing, but even that appears to be making some positive progress.

    I don't think it's getting better.

So the good news is that we have a new supervisor at my job. The bad news is that one, the new supervisor is sick with something and her doctors are failing to help her get better, and two, the job is taking its sweet time hiring anyone new. This coupled with various unforeseen factors led to last week being a pain in the hindquarters at work. Plus, my househunting isn't going well, and my phone

I think my job is trying to give me PTSD.

I was awoken by a phone call this morning. Work asked me to come in, as things were crazy. I did so, was there from around 9:30 AM to 6PM. Worked without a lunch break, I might add.

    The Moral Event Horizon.

Gonna discuss another trope today in relation to the Quiververse. In this case, it's the Moral Event Horizon. In simple terms, this is the point a character passes that forever marks them as EVIL and potentially irredeemable. TVTropes itself lists a few examples from FiM, and I won't repeat them here...though I will say that

So yeah, I'm still alive. · 5:00am Dec 21st, 2023

Life, as always, is keeping me busy, but I'm slightly more optimistic that things will be getting a little more positive for me in the near-future. So, maybe it's time for a reminder about the Quiververse's future.

My longtime followers will recall that I had a plan for a first season of twenty-six installments, and eventually expanded that to include things like the Vignettes. As of right now, most of those installments have been completed and are available for consumption. There's still a ways to go with the rest, and while I've mentioned this before...hey, why not a reminder?

First, the Vignettes. Two remain to go with the first season of the Quiververse. Neither has been written, but my readers might be able to guess the subject for one of them. It's my hope to have both written by the middle of 2024, and the first one released in January of 2025.

The next full installment for the Quiververse will be A Dragon's Worth. It's not a spoiler to say, based on the title, that it'll focus mostly on Spike. Most of the first chapter for this is written, and it will adapt events from both the comics and the animation. My hope, again, is to complete writing this story by the end of 2024 and begin posting it in February of 2025, with the second remaining Vignette to come the month following this story's completion.

After that will come A Great and Powerful Tale. Again, no spoilers, but it'll focus on Trixie, and weave around her appearances within the animation prior to Season Six as well as her appearances in the comics (some of which have already been referenced within the Quiververse). Parts of the first chapter, as well as a chunk of the end of the story, have been written and finished, and I look forward to filling in the middle.

Next is The First Evil. I'm very happy to say that, barring edits and tweaks that will need to be made in light of what occurred in Legends of Magic, this story is effectively done. I'll be posting it shortly after the last chapter for the previous story is released, and will be posting installments once every two weeks. Personally, I can't wait for everyone to read it.

After this story will come Broken Family. Again, a little bit for this one is written - a chunk of the first chapter, as well as chunks of a later chapter. This is one that I'm looking forward to writing, and the major reason for a biweekly release for the previous story is because I want to give myself as much time as possible to get this one right. Big things are coming for this installment, as well as the previous one and the one to follow.

Which brings me to the finale of the Quiververse's first season, Rainbow Rocks: Quiververse Remix. I've released previews for this story, so people at least know what to expect, but beyond those previews, quite a bit has been written. There's edits and tweaks that need to be done to what has been put down, of course, but I'm very much looking forward to getting back to active work on this installment.

It's my hope that all of this will be completed and posted by the end of 2027, along with one or two more Blooper Reel installments and hopefully at least one more Q&A. After that, I'm taking another hiatus, partly to work on other projects and partly to start work on what will become the second season. Worst case scenario, I'll at least leave something behind for people to enjoy and speculate on.

Thanks immensely for the heads-up on all of this. All of this sounds great. Not much to say except that I wish you the best of luck.

I appreciate that. Hopefully, luck will indeed be in my favor.

Thank you for sharing this with us. :)

I'm very much looking forward to read all of these stories, and second both Scholarly-Cimmerian and Comickook in their appreciation of what you shared and wishes of good luck.

As always, keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)

Take care!

Thanks. I hope that fortune starts going in your favor soon too.

Definitely agree with everyone else here, and I am most definitely looking forward to reading all these lovely stories, and the events within!

You've definitely got some long-range plans here, my friend, and I'm rooting for everything to go the way you want them to, and onward to 2025!

Thanks. And believe me, I have a lot of long-range plans when it comes to the Quiververse. Under ideal circumstances, it'll see four seasons before everything's said and done.

5760230 You're very welcome

Ooooo, sounds intriguing! Looking forward to all this lovely future stuff!

Well, I sincerely hope that those ideal circumstances work out, hun. Love to see what you do with the other three seasons!

Much good luck to you with your pony writing (and other!) endevours in the near future and beyond, dear Echo!
