What happened yesterday?: Twilight wakes up groggy and exhausted, and when she finds Spike, he’s acting weird, in fact the whole town seems to have gone insane! Can Twilight discover the cause before somepony gets hurt? [Comedy, mystery]
Serpentina: An ancient rune triggered, all of Equestria is permanently altered, can the changed ponies adapt? Or will Discord get a front row seat to the mayhem? [Comedy, Dark, drama]

Not the clones we needed: Twilight clones herself and her friends, the clones… seem to be the opposite in the worse ways… [Comedy]
Fuzzels: The mane six face their most vile foe yet! Not to mention the cutest! [Comedy]
Morality machine: A new villain with a weapon capable of rewriting a beings alignment, can he and his evil minions be stopped with the aid of an unlikely ally? [Action, Adventure, Comedy, Dark]
Personally, Serpentina & Morality machine sound like a lot of fun. (Can I flip a coin here ?)
Though I do have to admit all of them have a great premise.

I never understood the modern interpretation of genies.
In the original fairy tales, it was supposed to be "bossing around a cosmic being is a Bad Idea" IE, don't go poking a bear with a stick.
Now, it seems to be "REJECT ANY ACT OF CHARITY OR FREE PRIZE YOU GET FOR ANYTHING!" because literally everyone who does so will screw you over horribly.
And it's BORING... either it's the jackass genie who says, "Your sneeze in another universe in a dead language means, "I wish to be set on fire."" Or it uses nonsensical twisting of the language to do something horrible that no sane person would interpret that way.
NONE OF THEM bother with the ACTUAL question:
"Is this something you actually wanted?"
Did you want to be a movie star, or were you just in love with the ideal?
Did you want a pet giant dog, or did you just love the IDEAL of it?
Did you want to go on a REAL spy adventure... or did you mean one that plays to the tropes? And are those tropes so fun when YOU'RE the main character?
None of these stories ask these questions!

Well, Twilight is gonna go nuts from one of her phobias staring her in the first. (Along with lady bugs, and quesadilla.)

The Dark Water storyline in the comics also explored this.
But here's a question, if you were an evil bastard, why would OTHER evil bastards follow you? That sounds more like LOYALTY than turning the heroes into monsters.
