Writing Update No.6 · 10:47pm Nov 14th, 2023
Hello,
Apologies for the long… silence. It’s been a very, very tough (more than a few) months from a creativity perspective in my life. I landed my dream job and the huge lifestyle (or lack thereof) changes that came along with it.
I don’t have any worthwhile excuses to explain away why the story isn’t four or five chapters further along than it is. I’ve written four drafts of the 5th chapter over the intervening and nothing has really clicked for me. It’s too serious, not serious enough. Too dry, too expressive. Too long, too short, etc. But, writing is a balancing and and I continued to jam my head against the grindstone trying to break this writers block. I’m sorry the story isn’t progressing faster, I have so many ideas written out that I want to share— it’s just stringing all the events together has been tougher than I first thought.
The good news? I feel like I’m finally on the backside of it though and my head it filled with life again, hence why I made this post. I recently started my fifth draft of the chapter and it’s honestly pretty promising. Maybe I’ll have something to show for by Christmas. Fifth time’s the charm, eh? 
Expect some more official art coming down the pipeline soon as I redouble my efforts. I’ll be sure to link to it when it’s ready.
Additionally, I’ve had a little Discord server for the longest where I post art and discuss the story from time to time. I can’t promise it’ll be all that well moderated, as it’s just me and a few friends, but if you want to drop in, say hello, and offer a little encouragement— I’d be much obliged. Link will probably be up for a little while.

Hello again! All is! Life happens, and sometimes it just overcedes as needed. Writing is a hobby, sometimes, and no need to burn yourself out. Art will be nice!
