The last two chapters have collectively taken me 2 months to write, which is not acceptable, especially with my renewed commitment to getting these chapters out faster. Magic shows are hard as hell to write, but I hope that the final product was worth the wait. I'm working to try to accelerate my upload schedule.
The next chapter is already coming along nicely, and for once, I might actually meet my 1 week turnaround goal for uploading. Hopefully, by Friday, it should be out.
This chapter is an interlude and is out of chronological order. This will take place 5 minutes before the show in the backstage and will be from the perspective of Wind Chill. I purposefully didn't include this chapter before Luna’s performance for two reasons.
Firstly, Wind Chill is not as unaware as many assume, and her thoughts will touch on and allude to great ongoings in the world and in Valley Dale. I didn't want to shift focus away from the magic show, this is supposed to be Luna’s moment in the spotlight and I didn't want to dilute that by pivoting the focus of the story away from her performance. That's why I wanted to do it afterwards.
Secondly, I wanted more time to develop Wind Chill's character and personal motivations.
Take all the time you need, you shouldn’t be forcing yourself if you’re not feeling in the groove.
Some writers dish out a chapter every 6 months and some can knock one out in a week, sometimes the time spent affects the quality and sometimes it doesn't. If its a personal goal to write faster however, I wish you luck. either way as a reader I enjoy a good chapter here and there regardless of the frequency of them.
I always cheer up when I see a new chapter of a story I like it don’t burn yourself out for our sakes or worse, neglect other more important responsibilities.
Dang I'm way behind, if story is ending soon, I better get caught up.
Take your time btw, it brings the best out in writing.
