Today is Shannon Chan Kent's birthday, she is the talented woman who was Pinkie Pie's singing voice across all nine seasons of FiM. She was also the voice of Silver Spoon for Seasons 1-5, and later the voice of Smolder the dragon in Seasons 8 and 9. Interestingly, for two Season 2 episodes ("The Cutie Pox" and "Ponyville Confidential") she voiced Pinkie Pie when Andrea Libman was inexplicably unavailable.
In recent years, it's come to light that Shannon performed many demos of songs in FiM, including an alternate demo of "A Kirin's Tale" that hemmed closer to the source material. She's also had many other great voice acting roles, including the Biskit twins Whitney and Britney (as well as their mother) and Youngmee Son in the 2012 Littlest Pet Shop reboot. And more recently, she has been the voice of Amy Rose and her various alternate interactions across Sonic Prime: Rusty Rose (a cyborg Amy), Thorn (a sort of forest guardian), and Black Rose (a pirate). I will say that she's been spectacular as Rusty Rose and Thorn, though her normal Amy is a bit off-putting to me because she makes Amy sound like she's in her 40's.
