Controversial opinions on some classic video games (1980-2000):
1. The original Excitebike wasn't that great a game. The track editor was kinda cool, but the novelty of it wore off after a few minutes.
2. Zelda Ocarina of Time is overrated. It has a small world map that is largely empty, it is incredibly linear, and the graphics were ugly even back then.
3. Final Fantasy 7 is not the best Final Fantasy game on PS1. It's not a bad game, but it isn't the best.
4. The Intellivision was a better system than the Atari 2600.
5. Most N64 games are ugly and have aged worse than SNES games.
6. Bubsy and Bubsy 2 get too much hate. They aren't outstanding games, but they are better than most of the endless mascot platformers of the era.
7. Safari Hunt (Sega Master System pack-in light gun game) is better than Duck Hunt (NES light gun pack-in game).
8. The Koei games on NES are all highly underrated and likely had the longest play times on single games in the NES library.
9. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the last great Sonic game.
