I’m going into theatre design and production. Applicants are screened on a first come first serve basis and you’re required to have 3 rec letters prior to interviewing. My theatre teacher/director is currently MIA. We do not know if she is coming back and we are not allowed to contact her. Ergo, I have to prove to a complete stranger that I’m not completely incompetent in my field.

I plan on contacting some old teachers for my other two letters, but neither of them have comprehensive knowledge of theatrical arts. Plus I’m going into a leadership oriented field so having someone who understands the impact of my work will be a huge asset.
As for the second question, none of us really know. It’s being pretty strongly implied that there’s some sort of educator disciplinary investigation, but that’s as far as I can go in an internet comment section.
