... we apparently hit the goal in two days.

I'm floored by the outpouring of support I've received. I don't know what to say except thank you for all of your kindness and generosity. Money is already being transferred as we speak. This should keep me relatively stable until the paychecks start kicking in again.

Also I don't know what the protocol for this is. Keep it up? Close it immediately? Leave it open for a few days than close this? I've done this once before but it was to fund entertainment so I'm not sure.

A little tidbit about the concept of charity in Judaism is that it's one of the most important commandments because you're donating something you put your entire being into obtaining so in a sense, you've each donated a little part of your life to help alleviate mine.

Thank you for sharing your lives with me. It means a lot.

God, that is a beautiful way of looking at it. The fandom is always happy to help, even to people they don’t know or aren’t even in it.

As for keeping it up, I say leave it. If someone sees that you reached the goal and decides to donate anyway, that’s them willingly contributing extra. But, I’ve never used GoFundMe to get money, if taking it out means the bar goes back to 0 then I’d say take it down, because then it’ll look like you’re nowhere close to reaching the goal, and that might insecticide people to donate more without knowing you already reached it.

I hope things are starting to look up!
