What's with all the sad? · 5:53am Dec 19th, 2012
Jeez, people! Doesn't anyone want to write some happy pony stories? It seems like every time I scan through the art thumbnails, all I see are crying ponies or crossovers.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing, it's been a bit of a bummer.
But I guess it's a great time for a comedy writer to make his/her mark.
627391 Well, I try to do my part, but I write pretty slowly compared to a lot of these authors. I can only bring so much happy!

But you are doing your part and for that I thank you.
If your looking for a good comedy recommendation I'd try "Six Brides for Two Sisters" there are only 2 chapters so far but it left me in stitches.
Glad someone finally mentions it! It's all [sad], [crossover], or [human] (eugh).
628003 Yeah, it really baffles me. We are all here because we love the series and want more of it. So why write stuff that isn't remotely like it. I mean, I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity. They can write whatever they want, but it's so PREVALENT. Obviously there is a huge audience for it, but it personally don't get it. If I picked up a book about South Park, I don't want to read about them in a serious story about love. That's not why I turn to South Park. Ponies are the same. I want happy, funny stories that are like the episodes and that's why I write that way. I don't get looking for normally happy characters to be sad and tortured, and I certainly don't get wanting to read about how Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy took on GlaDoS or something like that. I'm sure it could be well written, but I don't care for it.
Yea, I so don't get it. Maybe I fail at being all that funny, but I at least try to write comedy.
