    Appreciate Your Spouse.

Appreciate your spouse while they're alive.

    Nobody's perfect. I know that.

I know couples argue and have disagreements on things. That's part of every relationship, both married and non-married, is it not?

    Moths Are Misunderstood.

    Moths aren't ugly or disgusting.

    Moths are fluffy. Butterflies aren't.

It's like the sun and moon. Most people love being out in the some, but others like the night.

Fare Thee Well: An Anon-A-Miss Story. Sunset's song. · 9:07am Aug 8th, 2023

Hey guys.

So, this brief blog will explain the background of my version of Sunset in this story.

'All day, every day, therapist, mother, maid.'

Sunset taking care of and raising her younger brother Sunflare in place of their parents who neglected them and one day banished them to the human world, leaving Sunset to raise her little brother.

'Nymph then a virgin, nurse then a servant.'

Describing her relationship and roles in her family (trying to take care of Chuck and Celestia) and her own sexual relationship with her ex-boyfriend Flash Sentry who wanted a nymph then a virgin.

'Just an appendage, live to attend him.'

How Sunset at times felt taking care of and raising her little brother and at first doing things for her father Chuck A.K.A God.

'So that he never lifts a finger.'

So that Chuck never lifts a finger to help raise her little brother Sunflare, who is also His son. But it also has the other meaning of doing things for her father to not be physically punished by her father. And also because their mother Celestia never stepped in to parent and focused on being a princess instead.

'24-7, baby machine.'

Sunset's thoughts on raising her little brother who she loves dearly.

'So he can live out his picket fence dreams.'

Talking about Chuck living out his existence as Chuck and as God. And talking about Celestia living out her life as a princess without her son and daughter A.K.A Sunset and Sunflare.

'It's not an act of love if you make her.'

Sunset got parentified at a young age by having to take care of and raise her little brother on her own.

'You made me do too much labor.'

Taking care of her brother, raising her brother, fixing magical problems, paying bills, her education and Sunflare's education.

I know that the song represents women's roles in history and in toxic relationships. I'm not trying to remake the song to fit what I want, but to try and have some of the lyrics fit the situation in the story and to describe Sunset and her thoughts.

It's basically the same situation like Sam and Dean Winchester. Dean raised Sam, and Sunset raised Sunflare.

Sunset has a very strained relationship with hers and Sunflare's parents Chuck and Celestia. Sunset has had to be a sister and a mother to him growing up.

"I had to be more than just a sister. I had to be a father and I had to be a mother. To keep him safe. And it wasn't fair." Sunset said to Chuck and Celestia, her tone slightly shaking as she glanced between her parents and her little brother Sunflare.

"You weren't there. I was. I taught him how to read, how to write, how to play the guitar, how to take care of himself, how to drive, everything! Me! All me! I raised him! And you know what? I did a damn good job!" Sunset said firmly to Chuck and Celestia, glancing at Sunflare asleep behind her.

"Adagio filled in the role as a mother, and for that, I'm eternally grateful to her. Sunflare grew up just fine without both of you! He has me, his sister, and he has Adagio, Aria and Sonata. He has family. And he has friends." Sunset added firmly, pride in her voice as she spoke about her little brother, the sirens and their friends.

"He doesn't need or want both of you in his life. So leave. Go back home to Equestria and never. come. back." Sunset added icily, glaring at her parents, her tone cold, not leaving her statement up for discussion, her arms folded over her chest, her eyes narrowed at her parents.

"Kids aren't supposed to be grateful. They're supposed to eat your food and break your heart, you selfish dicks!" Adagio growled, anger and disgust laced in her voice. "Well, as fate would have it, I adopted two amazing children. Your children. And they grew up great. They grew up heroes. So you can go to hell!" Adagio added firmly, narrowing her eyes at Chuck and Celestia.

One of those quotes was taken from Supernatural, when Dean spoke to his mother Mary in Heaven. Since the relationship dynamic in the story is meant to resemble the strong relationship between the Winchester brothers.

This story is also a crossover with Supernatural.

I'm still working on the story. It's my last one.

So, this brief blog will explain the background of my version of Sunset in this story.

Brief? 😆There are 677 words in this "brief" blog. Long enough to be a a brief fic in its own right, but a blog? Well ... I noticed how far I had to scroll down to eventually get to the bottom of the message.

Good on you for putting this out here, too. It's always your choice and I respect this and your right to express yourself here on this site. I like how it is fueled by inspiration as well. Shows can do it, songs can do it, and life can do it. All of these things give it shape, and you've lifted that clay from the muck and declared, "Behold my work."

That's fantastic. It is here because it needed to come out, so I am rooting for you.

I know I called it 'brief' but I didn't know how to explain it.

The song 'Labour' by Paris Paloma fits this story. It fits Dean Winchester so well, just replace 'she' with 'he' and it fits. But, it also fits Sunset, since she raised her brother as a sister and mother figure.

But, like how Sam and Dean had Bobby Singer as a father figure, Sunflare and Sunset have Adagio as a mother figure, Sonata and Aria as aunts and their friends like sisters.

So, it's about family. Like Supernatural.

And you know who else has a strained relationship with their parents?

Fiona Gallagher. From Shameless.

So it's like a mix of Supernatural and Shameless.

But, it also fits Sunset, since she raised her brother as a >sister< ...

...

Kinky. Progressive ... I guess? Hope Sunset gave her "brother" a choice before putting him in a dress.

Anyway, I kid. I know what the rest of that sentence was, but it is true that it took me a moment to figure it out.

So it's like a mix of Supernatural and Shameless.

Rock on my man. ✊ /)

PAHAHAHA! I didn't mean it like that! Not crossdressing!

Come on, man!

She had to raise him as a sister, whilst having to stand in as a mother figure and father figure.
