I Have "Never Fade Away" By SAMURAI From Cyberpunk 2077 Stuck In My Head!

Seriously, I can't make this up.

I've been humming Never Fade Away, all day long. I can't help it! It's catchy! I love catchy rock music! Same with Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas! Or Night Moves by Bob Seger! Or even Heat Of The Moment by Asia!

First thing my wife asks me this morning when I hum it is this:

Appreciate Your Spouse. · 6:28pm May 2nd

Appreciate your spouse while they're alive.

Nobody's perfect. I know that.

I know couples argue and have disagreements on things. That's part of every relationship, both married and non-married, is it not?

Appreciate having your husband or wife with you while they're alive. The little things and the big things. They both matter.

For example, like helping around the home, or taking care of the kid(s). If you have any, that is.

Marriage isn't always perfect. That's the beauty of it. It's imperfect. Because we, as people, are imperfect. We make mistakes, we hurt each other.

But we also forgive and love each other. Nobody's immortal. For some of us, you'll never know how good you had it until it's too late. Taken for granted.

Appreciate your spouse. The way they talk, their smile, their voice, their actions, the intimacy between you both. The little things and the big things.

If you ever had or have parents who didn't have the best marriage, and if you have a spouse, I IMPLORE you to find time to appreciate your spouse.

As a married man myself, I always compliment my wife and tell her how much I appreciate her. As my lover, my spouse, my best friend, the mother of my child and my soul mate. The day I lose her, I will look back on all of our memories together. That is why I never take every moment of our time together for granted. Because life is precious. A gift.

You don't have to say it out loud or to them. But, maybe, to remind yourself of why you fell in love with and married them.

Our time on this world is limited. Please don't take it for granted. Use it wisely.

Well-said, mi amigo.

I needed to get it off my chest.

I am a christian man, and the heart is the most deceiving object. Therefore, I do not say it 'came from the heart' for that exact reason.

Life is a gift. We have a temporary lifespan. We're born, we grow up, we mature, we start aging, we get old and we pass away. Often more than not, passing is a hard subject for people. Fear of the unknown.

My faith has given me peace. I am not afraid of my eventual passing. Rather, I am comforted because I know what comes next. I am at peace with my mortality.

Very well said, pal, well said indeed.

When I find a woman to marry, I'll DEFINITELY take your words to heart.
